"Do you really have to go?" Rowan asks with a small pout.

"Yes, I do and I'm sorry" I sighs.

"But you're going to miss the 4th of July"

"I know Baby, but this is really important for me" I pull my bag over my shoulder.

"When will you be back?" She asks and I shrug in response.

"The 9th or 10th" I tell her making her frown deepen "What's that face for?" I ask, running a thumb over the crease between her eyebrows.

"Rosa and I leave for Malibu on the 8th" She huffs and I sigh. Everything has been so difficult for us lately, and I honestly hate it.

"I forgot about that" I run a hand over my face "How long will you be gone?"

"Until the 16th" She answers, and I chew on my bottom lip.

"Then I guess we better make this worth it huh?"I sigh, wrapping my arms around her shoulders. I kiss her forehead as her face nudges into my chest, tightening her grip around my torso "2 weeks" I huff "That's a long ass time"

In complete honesty, two weeks isn't really that long, we've gone longer than that without each other, but I feel like with the way our relationship is going right now, I don't think we'll make it these two weeks.

And that makes me nervous.

"I know, but if you didn't give me such short notice about you leaving, maybe we could've done something more exciting before you left" She sighs, and I roll my eyes knowing that now something is going to get started.

"I know, I know. But I kept forgetting to tell you"

"How do you forget to tell me? I know you've done so much to plan for this, so why would you forget?" She asks with a loud huff.

"Because every time I'd try to tell you something else would happen"

"Oh, whatever" She walks away from me to go and grab her phone checking the time.

"Don't be mad at me" I frown.

"I'm not mad, but you should probably go, your flight leaves in an hour" She says in a monotone voice.

"I can take my jet if I really needed to, now tell me what's wrong" I demand, but she just shrugs.

"Nothing is wrong, I just don't want you to be late"

"Whatever Rowan" I huff, rolling my eyes. I walk over to her and give her a soft kiss, knowing I'd regret it if I didn't. I sigh loudly when she doesn't return my kiss "Bye Rowan" I shake my head, walking out of my bedroom with my stuff in my hands, shutting the door to my penthouse behind me.

"Why are you so upset?" Charlie asks as I climb into his car.

"Rowan is just so different. Ever since our little slip up everything has changed" I frown, my mind immediately putting the blame on myself for telling her my secret. She probably doesn't want to be with me anymore because she knows I can't give her the family she wants, and instead she'll find someone else.

"I'm sure it hasn't changed, you both are just stepping on eggshells right now because you don't want another break up for no reason. Both of you need to talk it out, so you can figure out where the both of you are"

"I'm scared she doesn't love me anymore Charlie. I've told her something only one other person knows and she's been acting strange around me now and I'm scared it's because of what I told her" I lean my head against the back of the seat.
