22. Austin
"Baby, thank you so much. This shit is fucking awesome" I gush, taking my attention away from the game.
"You're welcome. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself" She smiles, wrapping her arms around one of mine.
"I'm more than enjoying myself" I chuckle, pecking her nose lightly. She giggles and leans back in her seat, watching the game. I place my hand on her thigh, and she slides hers over mine, kissing the back of my shoulder. I cheer on the players as they run up and down the court. I look up at the clock, seeing 10 seconds left in the game. The crowd chants down the last few seconds of the game, just as the Spurs make one final shot, putting them even further into the lead.
"Fuck yeah!" I cheer when the buzzer sounds. Rowan laughs at my enthusiasm, and we both stand up, while everyone is filing out.
"You seem happy" She chuckles.
"Well duh" I laugh "I just went to a cool ass basketball game, and I have a hot girlfriend so" I tease, kissing her temple.
"Who's this hot girlfriend? I'd love to meet her some day"
"I'm not sure she'd like that" I shrug "She can be a little crazy"
"I am not crazy" She gasps, smacking my arm.
"Sure you're not" I drawl out, winking at her.
"You're an asshole" She laughs, and I wrap an arm around her as we walk outside. We're immediately swarmed by paparazzi and I groan in annoyance, I take off my jacket and throw it over Rowans head, leading her down the street. I ignore their questions and hail a taxi, and I help Rowan into the backseat, before getting in beside her, telling the driver the address to the hotel.
"So we have two options Baby" I start, resting my hand on Rowan's knee "We can go back to New York tonight, or we can leave tomorrow"
"I think tonight, because don't you have to go back to Miami" She says "Also, we're opening the new shop on the fifteenth"
"I go to Miami next week. But if you're opening then what's the harm in staying an extra day?"
"We've done no interior decorating, because Rosa and I have been procrastinating"
"Alright, I'll call my pilot then" I say, as we pull up to the hotel. We go up to our room and Rowan grabs our stuff, while I call my pilot to tell him to get the plane ready.
"Good?" I ask, and Rowan nods, wheeling our stuff downstairs. I call for another taxi to take us to the airport and I pay him when we get there, walking around to my jet. I greet my pilot and walk up the steps, sitting down, Rowan sitting beside me.
She turns on the TV once we take off, gasping when she sees her face on E! News.
"Next thing to talk about is the couple that is quickly rising to popularity. That's right, I'm talking about Austin Mahone and his new girlfriend Rowan, they were seen out together earlier tonight at a Spurs game in San Antonio, Texas. The two were caught being adorable as usual while enjoying their court side seats at the AT&T Center..."
"Hey! Why'd you do that?" She pouts as I turn off the TV.
"I don't need to listen to people say we're adorable, when I already know" I chuckle, and she rolls her eyes playfully.
"How long have we been dating?" I ask after a while of silence, leaning my head on Rowan's shoulder.
"I actually don't know" Rowan laughs "More than 30 days, less than thirty years" She shrugs.
"Yeah, I don't know either"
"Well let's count back... We weren't dating when you went back to Miami and that was in June. You were gone for 5 months so, July, August, September, October, November! You came back in November, so we've been dating since some time in November"
"So, not even three months" I snort, and she nods.
"Jesus, times goes so slow when you're a gold digger" She teases, and I fake a scoff.
"I knew you were only in it for the money" I shake my head in fake disbelief.
"Sorry, I think your wallet is more attractive than your face" She shrugs before we both burst into a fit of laughter. She leans her head on my shoulder as our laughter dies down, and I wrap an arm around her shoulder, kissing the top of her head.
"Tired?" I ask as she yawns.
"Yes" She nods "Apparently planes make me sleepy" She giggles quietly.
"Go to sleep Baby"
"Not a problem" She says, closing her eyes to fall asleep. I lean my head against the back of the seat, wondering how in the hell Rowan and I have only been dating for two months. It feels like it's been so much longer, and that's meant in the best of ways. I pull out my phone, and open a text to my mom, knowing she's the only person I can talk to.
To: Mom
I think I love her mom...
From: Mom
I know you do
To: Mom
I don't know if now is the best time to tell her though
From: Mom
Wait a while, the poor girl has so much on her plate
To: Mom
You're right, thanks mom
From: Mom
You're welcome
I slide my phone back into my pocket, and lean my head on top of Rowans. My pilot tells us we're about to land and I nod.
"Are you taking this to Miami too?"
"Depends, I'll let you know" I nod, and he smiles, walking back to steer the plane. I think over my trip to Miami, I want Rowan to go with me but I'm not sure if she'd be up to it or not. I've wanted to ask for a couple days now, but I've never found the right time to ask her.
The plane jolts, and Rowan wakes up with a gasp, making me chuckle "We landed"
"I know that now" She huffs "Scared the shit out of me"
The door to the plane opens and Rowan and I walk off, and around to my car, taking it back to my place. We walk up to my penthouse, and Rowan immediately walks to my room, leaving her clothes in a trail on the floor. I pick the up as she drops them, walking into my room to see her already snuggled deep into my bed.
I toss her clothes in my dirty clothes basket, and pull off my jeans and t-shirt, crawling into bed beside her.
"Goodnight Loser" I chuckle, kissing the top of her head.
"Goodnight Austin" She mumbles, throwing her arm over my waist and falling asleep.
