43. Rowan

"They weren't from him" I blurt to Rosa once the last customer of the day leaves, and Rosa's eyes widen as she locks the door, and flips the closed sign. I had been keeping this from her for a while, but I just wanted to figure out if it was someone else before telling her.

"What? Who were they from?"

"I don't know for sure, but I have a pretty good guess"

"How does he know where you work?"

"I don't know" I shake my head "But I'm so scared"

"Do you want me to stay with you tonight? I don't have to go on my date" Rosa offers.

"No, I want you to go on your date. I'm probably just going to the gym and then go to sleep"

"You've been going a lot lately" She raises her eyebrows.

"But, I'm looking damn good" I smirk and she laughs.

"Hell yeah, and you've definitely been doing squats. Austin would lose his shit"

"He would..." I trail off, my smirk widening "I'll see you later" I smile, grabbing a cupcake and waling outside as Charlie pulls up.

"I brought you a cupcake" I smile, climbing into the front seat.

"Thank you" He grins "Where am I taking you?"

"To the gym" I say and he nods, driving me to the gym.

"Call me when you're done"

"Will do" I wave, walking into the gym. I work out for what feels like 10 minutes, when it's actually three hours, and by now I've decided to call Charlie to come pick me up. I wait for him outside and he drives me back to my house and I thank him as I climb out.

I walk into my house and get into the shower making it quick so I can call Austin. Once I get out of the shower I change and crawl into my bed, and pull out my laptop FaceTiming Austin.

"Hi" He smiles.

"Hey, how are you?" I ask.

"I'm good, had a long day but I'm good" He nods "How are you?"

"I'm fine" I shrug "Just got home from the gym"

"The gym?" He asks with raised eyebrows.

"Yes, I'm not as lazy as you think" I roll my eyes and he laughs "I've gone everyday since you left"

"It's been like a month"

"Exactly" I shrug.

"I want to see the progress" He smirks, and I roll my eyes.

"No"

"Please Baby, I haven't see you in so long"

"That's your fault not mine" I shrug, and he huffs.

"Fine"

"Sorry Love, I don't want you to not be able to touch me" I wink, and he groans in frustration. I hear a loud bang from somewhere in my house, and I look at my door in frustration.

"What was that?"

"Shh" I hold up a finger, getting out of my bed.

"Rowan"

"Shut up" I whisper-yell and I hear him sigh. I open the door to my room slowly, and walk down the hallway, tip-toeing so I don't make any noise.

"Hey Babe" He grins, and just as I'm about to scream, he smacks his hand over my mouth "I didn't mean to scare you" He chuckles "Let's talk"
