Shark Attack (Luke DDM) [Part 2]

Y/N's POV

I've been in the hospital for 4 days now. The nurses are really nice, and I'm rooming with this 16-year-old girl named Emily! She's super nice and she loves The Little Mermaid, just like I do! We sing Part of your world all the time. She's in the hospital, because her kidney is failing, and she needs a surgery to get it replaced. 

Daddy and Mommy haven't left since I got in here. Today is my first time walking since the accident. The doctors were going to fit me for a prosthetic leg, cause the shark bit it off. Sometimes it still feels like it's there. Freaky!

Mommy ran home to get me some clothes, so Daddy, the boys, and I are going to walk down to the garden!  I'm miss my leg, but things happen for a reason. Nurse Stephanie told me that I'm the bravest girl she has ever met! (She's my favorite nurse, but don't tell the other nurses!) 

...

"Come on Daddy!" I yelled as I wobbled down the hallway

"Hold on my little penguin!" He said as he caught up to me

I stumbled a bit, and Daddy grabbed my arm to prevent me from falling.

"My Hero!" I said as I hugged him and giggled

The boys were lagging behind with the doctors

They were all pretty shocked at how fast I was adapting. 

"You're quite impressive Y/N!" Doctor Matthew said as he gave me a lollipop.

"When can I go home?" I asked

"Hopefully you'll be home in about 2 days!" He replied, "Remember to take it easy. It's going to be a difficult process, but I'm sure you'll do great!"

I've never seen Daddy look so proud

6 years later

I'm 13 now, and I'm starting High School! Everyone is super nice to me, and I made a lot of friends. I actually play soccer, and I'm the top student in my class.

Mom and Dad had my little brother, Kevin, 3 years ago. I love him so much, and I promise to protect him! 

The boys come over a lot, and we have a lot of fun! I always beat Uncle Ash at Fifa, that's why I'm his favorite! 

I am so grateful to have such an amazing family supporting me
