Arianna's POV

I watched as the blood started to ooze out of the fresh cuts. I could faintly hear my dad banging on the door, pleading with me. I ignored him, and faced the mirror. I was so pale. 

The banging got fainter and fainter as my vision started to fade

"I'm sorry"

I slowly opened my eyes, and looked around the room. 

Why am I in the hospital?

I started to sit up, only to be brought back down by a sharp pain in my arm.

The memories flooded back

The bullying

  The hate  

The argument with my dad

Dad!

I need to find my dad. 

I pressed the nurse call button, and a middle aged woman walked in.

"Hello, Arianna. How are you feeling?" She asked in a serious tone

"Where's my dad?" I asked, completely ignoring the question

"I sent him home. He's been a mess, and is blaming himself." She said and flashed me a sad smile

"How long was I out for?" I asked, only now realizing that the sun was setting

"4 days. You really scared us for a bit, your heart stopped beating for a minute"

I sat there shocked

I died?

"Here's your father now" She said as my dad walked in

"Oh, Arianna! I'm so glad you're okay!" He said as he rushed over to hug me

"Dad! I'm soo sorry! I didn't mean to yell at you!" I cried

"No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled back at you. Gosh, I'm a horrible dad!" He cried as he sank into a chair.

"No, none of you are to blame." Said the nurse

I nodded at my dad, and he smiled at me

"Why did you do it?" He whispered as he looked at my bandaged wrist.

I looked down, "It's too much" I whispered back and looked back up at him, tears in my eyes.

"Sweetie, you can talk to me anytime! Promise me you won't hurt yourself again!" He said

"I promise"

The sun was shinning, as I walked down the path. I stopped and turned to face him

"Hi dad! I came to tell you that, Jenna just had her first baby! You're a great-grandpa to a beautiful baby girl! I also turned 54 yesterday. I know, I'm getting old! And..." I said as I rolled up my sleeves, showing him my wrist

  "I kept my promise dad" I said to the silent gravestone as tears rolled down my face
