"You could've went back to sleep," Ethan smiles at me and I shrug. After all the events that took place last night how could I? Besides, if I had gone back to sleep I only would've had the minimum of three hours.
"There wasn't any point. I have a lecture in two hours." I yawn at the end of the sentence, covering my mouth.
"I'm surprised Veronica made Vince leave," Ethan scratches the back of his neck, probably feeling responsible for his departure. Around five, about an hour ago, Veronica told Vince to pack up all of his things and drove him back to the airport for an early flight home, leaving Ethan and I alone.
"Me too, but I'm glad she did." I admit, not feeling the least bit bad about it.
"Same here, now I can spend time with you." Ethan kisses my forehead and I cuddle closer to him. His warmth encloses us underneath the plush blankets.
"I don't want to go to that lecture," I groan against his chest. He smooths my hair and I can feel his chest moving up and down from breathing. It's soothing actually.
"Well you should go, I mean it's a big part of your grade. Plus, I get to have the pleasure of watching you get ready." I look up at him with a scowling pouty face.
"Hehe no," I bury my face in his chest as he smirks down at me.
"We still have about an hour to cuddle and spend time with one another." Ethan speaks softly, rubbing my back. I nod without speaking just soaking in the moment.
After a blissful hour of nothing but cuddling and kisses, I drag myself out of bed, away from Ethan and begin looking for an outfit. Veronica comes in the door and Ethan looks at me. I shrug and Veronica stands in the kitchen for a minute with her back turned to us. I'm about to say something when she turns around and looks at me.
"Chloe," she sighs, looking at me then looking at Ethan. "Ethan. I want to apologize for Vince's behavior. I didn't even realize he had been hitting on you Chloe. I just thought he was trying to get along with you. Turns out, he just wanted to get in your pants and I'm sorry I never stood up for you or said anything. I hadn't realized he was trying to flirt or anything." I nod and she approaches Ethan and I.
"Ethan, I'm sorry for letting my brother come here when I knew you and Chloe were on bad terms. I should've been a better friend to you both."
"It's okay. He is your brother after all, you didn't know he was trying to scam on Chloe. Apology accepted." Ethan smiles at her and I walk over to her, hugging her tightly.
"Apology accepted." I whisper to her and she hugs me tighter.
"I gotta get ready and go to my lecture. Ethan what're you going to do?"
"Probably going to head back to the dorm. Evi is suppose to be coming down soon to see Colton and I." Ethan speaks up, looking at me.
"Aw, I wish I could see her again. We had some good times." I stifle back a laugh and Ethan rolls his eyes.
"Oh, yes. I really loved washing pudding out of my ears when everyone was flinging food across the restaurant." He replies sarcastically and I let out the laugh I was holding.
"Flinging pudding? What?" Veronica looks at us confused.
"A story for a different time," Ethan smirks and I smile at him.
"But seriously," I speak up. "Whenever we all hung out at the dance I liked that her and Colton were together. They're cute. I wish they hadn't broken up."
"Well, with the help of good ole cupid," Ethan points to himself. "That may change."
"Cupid, huh?" I wink at him and he smirks.
"Duh, I'm the king of love, babe."
"Ew, gross, please stop." Veronica makes a disgusted face at us and we burst into laughter.
"Says you! You were all over Kyle last night!" I yell at her, making her cheeks turn instantly red.
"Shouldn't you be on your way to a lecture by now!" She yells back at me and my mouth drops open.
"Shit! I gotta go! I'll interrogate you for the details later!" I kiss Ethan on the cheek and rush to the lecture.
What feels like twelve hours later, I finally get to leave that dumb lecture. I make my way back to the dorm and realize just how tired I really am when a big yawn escapes my lips. I close the door behind me and make eye contact with Ethan.
"I thought you left like three hours ago?" I ask confused.
"I decided you're going to come back to Florida with me," Ethan smiles and I furrow my eyebrows.
"Ethan, I still have three days before break and I have a job now. I can't just forget my life here, even though I would love to come with you." I sigh.
He rolls my suitcase into view and hands me my favorite pillow from my bed.
"Listen, I went down to your work, Veronica took me there, and I asked to speak to the owner and this really buff dude, Mike, came out and I honestly thought I was gonna shit myself right there from the looks of that guy, but I explained our situation and how much I love you and stuff and he said that they'd do okay without you for the next few days and said to just come back next Monday from five to eleven-thirty." Ethan explains and my mouth slowly opens. He went to talk to my boss so he could take me to Florida with him?
"But what about my classes?"
"Veronica and I have already got that covered. Look, Chloe, you do so much stuff for everyone else, let us do something for you once." He takes a step closer to me, grabbing my hand and leaning down to kiss my forehead. I look up at him and smile. I have the sweetest boyfriend in all humanity.
"Did you get all of my stuff?" I look toward the suitcase and he nods.
"I threw most of your clothes into the bag. I know that you like having a lot of clothing options and Veronica helped pack your girly stuff. I had no idea you even used hair products." Typical boyfriend comment. I giggle and he shrugs his shoulders.
"Let's get this Thanksgiving break a go, shall we?" Ethan takes my pillow and places it on my suitcase. We intertwine our fingers as we make our way to his truck. Riding in the truck by his side for the next twelve hours is going to be great. Just the two of us with good music and good conversations.
