I turned away from the now locked door and headed to the couch the girls were putting away the board game. You could tell nobody wanted to play anymore due to the interruption at the door.

" Should we talk about this?" I asked the girls

"What's there to talk about." Tanz said rather annoyed

"Well we've lived here for a while now, Do we want to live like this for the rest of our lives? Hiding from people we know nothing about except that they killed our family because of us." I said taken back by my sudden change of tone.

The girls looked at me with confusion. I was usually calm and quiet and now I was being loud and out spoken.

" I agree" Diamond stated " I mean we are 3 out of the 12 "gems" we could look for the other 9 for answers."

Tanz added in. "I agree with Aqua and you, but how would we find the other nine? We have only been in a 5 mile radius of our house and where we used to live is vacant, nobody lives there anymore. We barley know about the Onyx they could be way to dangerous..." she paused... "Then again I am kind of getting cabin fever just staying here and playing games and talking about unrealistic futures." Tanz said with a grin.

"So we all agree we should leave ?" Diamond questions

We all gave each other looks and nodded to each other.

"Ok then it's settled we leave in a week on Thursday." I said with a smile.

"Or let's just leave tomorrow morning because then we won't change our minds." Diamond suggested.

We spent the rest of the night planning our route and going over different ideas that might save our butts down the road if we got into trouble. Other than the slight chance we could die or fail we were happy and finally had a purpose. We had nothing to lose but also nothing to live for at the same time. We were the type of girls that once we had an idea in our heads we were dead set on it and determined to get it done or achieve it.

After chatting and eating a vegetable dinner we all went to bed. It was 11:30 Diamond and Tanz were sleeping on there so called "beds". We lived the best we could giving our living condition. We mostly ate berries and vegetables from our small garden and ate an occasional turkey or rabbit dinner depending on if we got lucky and caught something or not.

The girls were fast asleep but the knocking at the door earlier today made me uneasy and unable to sleep. We felt targeted. I stared up at the grey ceiling and tried to think of something happy. I went over all the gems and jewels I could in my head and named as many as possible. Living on a planet based on rocks and minerals we were taught these things since little school. My parents always used to sing and show me all the jewels, so when I think of stones now it calms me down and I think of my parents in a happy way. Still staring at the ceiling a loud bang from across the room interrupted my thoughts. I jolted up and so did the girls, the loud noise woke them up. Someone was knocking on the door again. The room was pitch black. The girls quietly got up and followed me. The room was silent .

I was shaking so bad and I couldn't see at all. I was careful not to stomp every time I took a step. I tried to look for the light switch but only could make out dark black shapes. The shadows seemed to dance in front of me. We're my eyes playing tricks on me because of the dark? I felt a tug on my hair and turned around and put out my hand. No one was there. Not even the girls who were right behind me. I quickly ran over to the wall where the light switch was. I felt goosebumps growing on my arms. I had never been this scared in my life. Hesitantly i moved along the wall trying to find the light. I stepped in something wet and it felt shockingly cold against my bare feet. Light cold air brushed against my ear and my throat started to tighten.

Onyx mon Melanite... Onyx mon Melanite.... Onyx mon Melanite...

The harsh words were like whispering threats even though I had no idea what they meant. I had to remind myself to keep breathing and that everything was going to be ok. I immediately turned back to the wall and rapidly ran my hand around it in search of the light switch. My hand hit something sharp and I could feel the cold air entering the now open wound on my hand. Using my other hand I finally found the light switch. Sets of arms grabbed me and pulled me away from the switch and startled me so bad I shrieked. I screamed so loud it must have scared them because it made them scream too. They let go of me I flipped the switch with my closest hand and unfortunately it was my gashed hand. Pain rain up my arm. I waited for my eyes to adjust to the light I held my arm out in front of me to shield me from the two person like figures until my eyes focused on them. I let out a gasp.
