Sal's POV

I woke up in panic. I have no idea where I am or why I am here. I try to sit up but I'm stopped. Icy cold chains are wrapped around my arms and upper body, and metal cuffs are placed around my legs. I look around and my eyes meet up with metal machines. Many have needles scavenging for blood and others have clear tubes that are hooked to clear bags. I have never been very fond of needles.

I look down and see that I'm in the middle of a room laying on a slanted table. My whole body is torn, I smell blood from my own cuts and then I remember what had happened.

The first thing I think about is my Aqua and how scared she must be, the last thing I saw before being pulled under was the fear in her eyes. It upset me thinking that she was sad and scared but also gave me strength to break out and get back to her. I had to find a way out I had to hear her say those three words I didn't get to hear her say back.

About ten minutes had passed since I had woken up and still there was no sign of anyone. Part of me wanted someone to come so I could understand what was going on but the other half of me was terrified. What if this was it? I had no clue where I was but in the back of my mind I knew I had to be in the Onxy base. I looked around the room for a set of keys that I might be able to unlock the chains with but I found nothing. I decided to start banging on everything around me to create as much noise as possible. I couldn't just lay here and let someone else determine my fate.

The Tv monitor in the room flicked on and I stopped making noises, it must have worked.

Black and white static covered the screen. A scratchy noise filled the room. The screen was still static but a hoarse deep voice began to speak and a figure of a man flashed on and off of the screen.

"Well well well, what do we have here?" The man said.

His eyes glowed red and I knew who it was from the second I laid eyes on him. Those red eyes. They had caused so much pain, pain that never could be forgotten. The longer I stared at them the more raged I became.

"I'm not playing any games !" I screamed hoping he would hear me. "What you have done to our families is unthinkable!"

The face on the screen flicked on and off yet he remained motionless. The only sound in the room was the slight static of the tv. I was terrified yet angry. A few seconds past and all I could think about was Aqua. She gave me something to look foreword to in life after I lost my family. I can't loose her, at this point I will do anything to keep her safe, any- but before I could finish my thoughts they were cut short. The big metal door swung open. His shadow was standing in front of me. An eerie gust of cold wind came across the room instantly giving me goosebumps and a large dark figure stepped out into the light.

I tried jumping off of the table to attack the man, but forgot of my restraints and instantly regretted my decision due to the loud crash of chains that it had made.

"You can keep trying, but I doubt your going to get anywhere." The man said with a chuckle. He was wearing all black and now had on a pair of dark sunglasses to hide his eyes. Eyes hidden or not I still knew who he was. His antics were cheap.

I remained silent, I didn't want to do or say anything that would please this man in any way. He slowly began walking up towards me, I remember Clay speaking of Genieth, but even they had never seen him up close. Now here I was only a few feet away from him and helpless and unable to break my restraints. Maybe if I was in better health I'd be able to break free from the cuffs, but this trip definitely took its toll on my body and my health. I had never felt so emotionally exhausted and drained in my life.

"Your probably wondering why you are here aren't you?" He asked in a way you knew he didn't care to need an answer. " We were the few who were born different in this terrible world." He paused as if to think of a distant memory. "I spent my whole life stuck in rules. Try not to be seen by others, I was told by my parents. Wear sunglasses as much as possible. Dont tell people your name. Living in these rules as a child messed with me, and all for what? Just to seem normal? When I was a child people looked at me as if I was the devil, even my own father. A baby born with red eyes should not live in a pure world. My whole childhood I was looked at as if I was a monster. I only had my mother to love me, that was until she got sick. Her skin turned grey and her bones became tiny and frail. I prayed every night that she would get healthy. I thought my prayers would never answer me until i heard the whispers. Onyx Mon Melanite... Onyx Mon Melanite. My prayers had been answered and my mothers strength was restored in a different form. In return our blood runs black as a favor to the Onyx lord." He looked at the ground, then with a quick change of mood slammed his fist and said, "but none of that matters now! I must repay him, those who had treated me unfairly have paid the price, and for you. You and your friends with the pretty eyes must also pay the price."

His words were cheap and made me think that he was all bark and no bite on the other hand the Onyx lord he spoke of ran shivers down my spine. In that instant i realized who the grey woman was. It was Genieth's mother, It all started making sense. Her motives for attacking us to fulfill and repay the Lord for her life. How could this man really make us all pay his price? All this pain he caused for us was all due to him growing up in a sour place. He had killed our family's out of spite for his childhood. I was bubbling with anger. Just as Genieth was about to leave the room the anger poured out of my mouth.

"You don't think we all had a bad childhood also?" I screamed, " Myself and All the others can tell you how hard it was growing up being the only ones who were different in a world full of so called normal people. There wasn't a single second people weren't staring at me based on the colors of my eyes. We looked passed that! We lived our lives based on our own thoughts and feelings not by what others thought of us. You are the terrible one for killing thousands of innocent people out of anger!"

My words couldn't express how angry I was at this man and by the look on his face he was angry too by my sudden outburst of words. I could tell he was a man of his own opinion, and lived his life full of spite and holding onto the past. My words had effected him because he was silent. I waited for him to comment on my words but nothing. He only walked towards me slowly with his hand in his left pocket. He pulled out a set of keys then mockingly flashed them in front of my face. He had my fate in his hands. He reached behind him and picked something off a medical tray.

"Get away from me." I gritted my teeth at him. "Get away now, you have no reason to punish us like this because of your bitter feelings!"

But before I knew it he had lunged at me and with a single prick in my neck, I felt a cold liquid go down throughout my body and in an instant I was out cold.
