"Oh my goodness are you ok! I'm so sorry I feel horrible."I said to the boy I had just kicked.

"Give me a few more seconds and I will feel fine." The boy said with a chuckle.

I sat up, next to the building where he was kneeling.

"You have a good kick." He said in a deep voice.

"I'm really sorry about that. I should introduce myself. Hi my name is Aquamarine Komatiite I'm 17." I greeted him and held out my hand for him to shake.

He was fully recovered and sat down. It was really wet and muddy. I didn't want him to be any colder than he was an i owed him something after I had kicked him where no man should be kicked.

"Do u want to come into our cabin so we don't get more muddier and wet from the rain or even worse sick."

He nodded his head and we started making our way back to the cabin. My clothes were soaking wet and full of mud I took off my boots on the porch so we wouldn't get the cabin full of mud.

"Can you turn around for a few seconds?" I asked him politely. " I don't want to drag all this mud into the house. "

"Yea no problem." He replied and turned around facing the village.

I quickly took off my pants and shirt leaving on my bra and underwear and threw my clothes onto the porch floor by the entrance. I quietly opened the house door and grabbed a new pair of clothes from my bag. I put on a black T shirt and Jean Capris. I wrapped a towel I found in the bathroom around my now soaked brown curly hair. My hair was too long and stuck out of the towel but it had to do for now. I went back into a room and looked through the closets for an outfit for the stranger on the porch. He was tall and muscular. I found a pair of jeans and an old red T shirt that would be better than nothing and made my way to the porch. I knocked on the open door so I wouldn't startle him and handed him the clothes.

"Sorry I hope they fit, I found them in the closet. I can take your wet clothes once your changed and throw them in the..." I whispered to him not wanting to wake up the girls.

Before I even could finish he ripped off his soaking shirt exposing his abs. I turned around fast and smacked my face on a lantern.

"Ouch!" I yelled grabbing the lantern with my left hand without even thinking.

The edge of the lantern was sharp and I re-opened the wound from the other night. I quickly ran inside to the sink. I didn't mean to react that way I just expected him to get changed once I left not at that moment it just surprised me and made me run into the lantern making me look like a fool. I stood at the sink letting the lukewarm water hit my open hand. Blood was everywhere it stung so bad and I had to keep myself from screaming and waking the girls. I grabbed a towel from a cabinet and wrapped it around my hand. Where was he? It didn't even take me that long to change and I'm a girl. Ten minutes past and I soon got worried. He could have helped us but now he's gone. Before I could finish my thoughts the door swung open and I jumped dropping the blood filled towel. He walked up next to me and had something in his hand.

"Sorry I took so long I went to the tailors and found some needle and thread and then went to the supermarket to look for numbing alcohol and gauze. Good thing the stores and still full of supplies." He said with a heart warming smile.

I looked at the needle in his hands they always made me feel woozy and weak. But in this case we had to do it. The cut on my hand was about two inches long and deep. It was on my left hand and I was left handed so I had been doing everything with my right hand since I had cut it. He grabbed the black thread and threaded the needle.

"Sorry I couldn't find any thread that wasn't black. I hope this doesn't hurt to bad."

"It's fine it has to be done." I said half smiling.

He took the needle and pushed it into the palm of my hand. I winced from the pain and he took the alcohol and poured it in my hand which made it tingle. My knees went weak so I didn't watch, it hurt but the pain wasn't unbearable. He put in a total of 12 stitches just to be safe and then tied it off. He wrapped the white gauze around my hand tightly so it wouldn't get infected.

"Look at that good as new!" He exclaimed. Then took my hand and kissed it. "It's all better now Aquamarine."

I started to blush. "Thank you very much. So u know my name can I know yours?"

"Oh yes how rude of me! My names actually kind of embarrassing because of these." He said pointing to his dark blue eyes. He was a lost gem like us.
"They named me Sapphire after my eyes and the month I was born in but I'm a boy and Sapphire is a girls name but it had to be because of my eyes. I've always been called Salvatore because at least it still started with an 'S' but you can call me Sal."

"Tanz,Diamond and I are all gems too. We don't live here we left our house yesterday to search for more people of our kind and to find out why the Onyx were doing such horrible things. Our family's are gone so it's just been us."

"It's just me too." Sal said. " I have been living on my own for about 3 years and I have never met anyone like me my whole life. But now I've met you and I can't wait to meet your friends when they wake up."

He was sweet, he had dark brown hair like me and I had learned that he was 19, born in September on the 7th of 1015. He had two little sisters one was 4 and the other was 10. His mom left when he was 13 and him and his father had to take care of the family. He told me of the day that his town Norite was evacuated. And how devastating it was to see his family die and everyone he loved. I told him my story which was similar too his except that I had a younger brother and sister. We spent the rest of the night sitting on the couch telling stories of the past.

I didn't realize it but I think I was starting to have feelings for him. It seemed silly but he was was the first guy I've talked too in around two years, and things had been lonely with just Tanz and Diamond around the house.
