Blake POV

My bed was cold when I awoke. I only felt relief when I remembered that I still had her back, even if she didn't sleep with me at night. I sat on the edge of my bed and listened for a moment. There was no noise from the baby monitor. Surely she had to be up by now. I thought to myself. I stood and scratched the top of my head whilst walking into the nursery. Harper was sitting up, blank-staring into the wall. I cocked an eyebrow and she looked at me.

"Good morning Sir." She stated, a bit more respectfully than usual. I sighed and fought back the urge to scream and cry. I lowered the bar for her crib and she sat up on her knees, ready to stand and get out herself. I chocked back a sob and picked up her soft, scarred body. She gave me a confused look but rested her head in the crook of my neck nonetheless. She took in a deep breath and I felt her tension drop a bit. I walked her over to the restroom and sat her down on the counter. I turned and started a bath for her. She cleared her throat a bit and I turned.

"I would very much appreciate a shower please, Sir. I mean... if that's alright." She stuttered out. I looked her in shock for a moment before shaking my head to snap out of it and nodding.

"Yes, of course, Princess." I mumbled, pulling the nob to direct the water to the shower head. "I'm guessing you'd like your alone time too also." I whispered, trying to hide my hurt. I looked up to see her nodding sadly.

"Yes Sir, if that's alright with you." She whispered, almost sounding as sad as I felt. I clapped my hands together and walked out. I closed the door and ran my hands through my hair again. I'm going to end up bald by the end of this. I whispered to myself. I started down the stairs and started a pot of boiling water...then took a big swig of whiskey. I don't drink but these are desperate times, desperate measures are called for. I placed my forehead in my hands and exhaled loudly, fighting the burn back. After a few more shots I couldn't see very well. I had just let my shoulders relax when my phone rang. My head shot up and I answered the phone quickly.

"Hello?" I slurred. I heard a deep sigh from the other end.

"Are you drinking?" I heard my brother scold. "Whatever, I was just going to see if you could watch Clementine for a little bit. And no more drinking! Get over yourself at least she is back!" He scolded loudly. I heard a slam of the phone and the line when dead. I looked over and saw my water almost boiling over. I rushed over to it quickly and turned the heat down, pouring in the macaroni. I heard small footsteps titter down the stairs and I looked to see Harper. She stood with a slight smile in a pretty pink dress and her hair wet in a towel.

"Better?" I said, trying to sound a little sober. She raised an eyebrow and nodded. She sighed and placed her small hands on my arm. She walked me over to the table and sat me down. She directed some hair from my face and walked back towards the kitchen.

"I'll have lunch ready in just a few moments." She calmly stated. I lifted my head and shook it.

"N-no, Princess." I grumbled, a bit more confident. "I got it." I tried to stand but my knees fell weak. She shook her head and stirred the pot.

"I'm sorry Sir but I must disobey your orders. You are much too disoriented to do this." She stated again, leaving the pot to throw away the bottle of whiskey that was out. I sighed and felt a tear leave my eye.

"No, I'm sorry. Princess, I'm not doing my job when I do this. I promise that I will be forever sober around you. A Daddy takes care of his Baby girl and I haven't even accepted the fact that you're back." I whispered. I stood up with a new strength in my legs and walked over to her. I wrapped my arms around her waist and she soothed a bit. "No matter how long it takes, even if it isn't like before, we'll get through this. I love you, Harper." I whispered. She nodded and continued stirring as if she didn't hear me. I sighed and closed my eyes, beckoning patience. I released her and walked back to the table. A few minutes went by and she set two bowls of macaroni and cheese on the table for us. She then sat on her knees on the floor, facing me. I turned and saw her, I gave her a confused look and she looked at me expectantly.

"Something wrong, Princess?" I asked.

"Is it not a rule to pleasure before receiving food?" She asked weakly, tears started to roll down her face and she quickly wiped them away. I sighed and lifted her up in my lap.

"I think it is time to discuss the rules." I cooed. She nodded and looked up at me with the big eyes she always had in Little Space. "Rule one," I soothed, running my fingers through her hair. "Always trust Daddy. "She gave me a nod and rested her head in the crook of my neck. I reached over and grabbed her 'Daddy's Girl' pacifier for her. She closed her eyes and sucked contently. "Rule Two, never be afraid to cry." I cooed. She nodded again and a single tear rolled down her face. "Rule Three, anything you want is yours. Never be afraid to ask Daddy for anything. Rule Four, I will have no more of this 'Sir' and 'Master' bullshit it hurts Daddy when you say those things and put yourself under me. You are a Princess and you should know it. Rule Five, when you are unhappy, tell Daddy what's wrong and he will fix it. I would walk a thousand miles and fucking murder anyone who hurts you. There will never be a time when Daddy doesn't want to talk or spend time with you." I turned her to face me and I stroked some hair out of her face. "Now I want you to remember that anytime you say our safe or it WILL be heard, no hesitation. If you are uncomfortable I want you to scream it at the top of your lungs and Daddy will stop whatever he is doing for you. Remember the word Lavender. That's all it takes." I reassured. She nodded and made herself comfortable again.

"How you can love something so broken, Daddy. I'll never know." She whispered, leaving a few more tears in my shirt. I petted her hair and we sat there for a while, just slowly eating our food in silence.
