[Story from Frida's perspective]

It was 1968. I was a mother of two at 22, and began to return to my path as a singer. I was married then, yet it was not a fairytale ending. It was a tragedy that I had to leave my family behind.

It was January of that year. I was asked to be a guest performer on a show. It was the time when I personally saw her. She was already a well-known young singer and songwriter. She has been one of our country's music legends. You might think I'm being modest, but she deserves it more than I am.

I can vividly recall her blonde hair and blue eyes. She was not only that beautiful, but also mellifluous for her age. I think she was 17 back then.

If my math serves me right, it has been 48 years since that day. And guess what, we were reminiscing of those days and years last month when we had our reunion (it's more of an opening party for a good friend) ---those memories of singing together while exploring ourselves and the world. IT WAS NOSTALGIC for the both of us to see each other again after all we have been through.

She and I had weird times. We laughed. We cried. We fought. Yet above all, we loved each other.
