There is a distance in the air
And I cannot make it leave
I wave my arms around about me
But I cannot sense you close
Though I know you are always here
But the comfort of you near
Is what my heart longs for
When I cannot feel you
I have learned to reach out
Just the same
When I cannot hear you
I know you still hear every word I pray
And I want you more than
I want to live another day
As I wait for you maybe I'm made
More faithful
You change and form me day by day
Into who you want me to be
I'm just as beautiful as any of your creations
The mountains, sea, stars
I am your daughter
A beautiful mess
A light in the dark
An image of you

So....? This poem I wrote about a week ago, I felt so overwhelmed and just needed a breather before everything exploded. Which I tend to bottle things up when I know I shouldn't because I know the consequences. It's hard for me to show my emotions, but I have no problem writing them. It's an escape from wherever I'm at and what's around me, gives me time to focus on Jesus, because He is all we need and sometimes we don't realize that till He's all we have. This poems just reminds me of His unconditional love for us.
