It's raining. Our boxes in the back of my truck are getting drenched. We drove to the Fed Ex Store to ship the last few boxes of our stuff to Vienna.

" I can't believe this is really happening. Hell yeah" I fist pump in the air.

Miss Jackson by Panic! at the Disco is blaring inside the vehicle. as we sing along in-between our conversation.

"Where will you be wakin' up tomorrow morning??" she sings

"In Vienna!!!!"I yell.

"Just because we're leaving tonight doesn't mean you have to ruin this song for me..." she scoffs but shoots me a smile."

My parents were already in Vienna. They arrived there a month ago to get things settled and ready for the next three years. I was beyond excited I could barely breath. This is unreal. I was moving to Europe with my best friend and family. We will be in Vienna, Austria tomorrow.  There is about an 8 hour time difference so when we actually arrive in Vienna it won't be the morning. It just sounded good when I answered Jess in her singing.

We arrive at the airport an hour early  to make sure we wouldn't miss our flight. I loved flying. I got plane sick but it meant there was adventure I was heading towards. always something new and exciting. This time it was for three years. Three years of discovering new things, new people, and a new culture.

We were tired from that day. We were in sweats, big hoodies, UGG boots and messy buns on the tops of our heads. I was comfortable like that. I liked to dress up from time to time but I loved my hoodies. I felt safe and comfortable. Jess was the same way in that sense I guess.

They finally called our flight and our zone. We got First Class but only because my dad's company is paying for it. Score!

We sat in our comfy seats while the flight attendants talked to us about our flight.  As soon as everyone was boarded we took off towards Paris. Bonjour ;)

We arrived in Paris and went to our next gate. I texted my dad telling we landed safely in Paris'

To: Fadree<3

Hey Pa, we just landed in Paris. We are at our next Gate. See you in about 4 hours!

Love, Fru.

Fru was my nick name. Rhenn fru was the full name though. I loved getting nicknames from people. They usually just called me Rhenn.

After 45 minutes of Instagram and Twitter we got on our plane. Still in first class. This time they offered us complementary wine. Forgetting Jess could drink legally here.

"Oh hell yes!" Jess said. She liked to drink here and there. of course since I was 21 I could sneak her into bars and such in the US. Shhh....

"Nothing like a early morning pick me up" I added

We took pictures of us with our wine, making funny faces because we were already hideous from the previous flight nothing could make us prettier anyway. We used it to our advantage.

The pilot asked us over the intercom to put our phones away and they were going to start a movie.

The movie the put on was Safe Haven. It was a couple years old but I still loved it.

By the end of the movie we were balling like babies. Not sure if it was because we had so much wine that it made us more emotional or because we were just that emotional to begin with. Who knows.

We landed in Vienna and were slowly walking to get our bags. We were beat. Jet lag, alcohol, and a sad movie do not mix. Jess called her mom telling her we landed safely and I called my parents to see where  they were.

They would be here in about 10 minutes. we had gotten our bags from the baggage claim and  sat outside. It wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either. It was a gorgeous night. The people here looked normal. They were dressed in suits and dresses though. Its night time and they're still in dressy clothes. Oh boy.. I hope it's not like this everywhere. I liked my skinny jeans and hoodies. I looked over at Jess. She shared the same expression. I knew she felt the same way I did.

"Shit" Jess sighed.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry love!"

I looked up to see a beautiful man picking up Jess's phone.

He was literally tall dark and handsome. He wore a black button up shirt with the sleeves rolled, dark denim skinny jeans, and red TOMS. Oh man....I had to stop myself from staring .

"I-Its Alright" she stammered meeting his dark eyes.

He had a thick accent, German, I'm almost positive. But there is also a hint of British.

"Where are you ladies from?" He asked puzzled as we gawked at him.

"America, Idaho, to be more specific" I said less nervous once I saw his eyes widen with surprise.

"No way?! That's so awesome! Idaho though, where is that?" Holding the sides of his head with his hands

"Yes way, Uhm...Idaho as in potatoes? Its next to Oregon and Washington." Jess added smiling nervously

"Oh, potatoe girls huh? Cute, you girls should join me for dinner one of these nights, how long are you here for?" He asked

I chuckled "Three years.."

"Oh, wow. We have loads of time!" his smile was genuine.

"We sure do! We do need a tour guide for this city so let's swap numbers?" Jess asks.

Smoooootthhhhh Jess.

"Definitely!" He hands us his phone and we hand him both of ours.

"My name is Rhennie by the way, and this is Jess"

"Its so nice to meet you American girls, I'm Xander. He held out his hand and I took it. He kissed the top of it and did the same to Jess.

She shyly giggled. Just then my parents pulled up and my mom comes running with a huge smile on her face.

"I'll text you!" he says walking off with a grin on his face.

I'm pulled out of my trance by a laugh, not just any laugh, my moms laugh. Looking to my left I see my parents running hand and hand.

"MOM!" I ran to her hugging her tightly

"I missed you so much!" she says

We finished our hugging sessions and talked about the house. The streets here were paved but some were old, like cobblestone old.

Everything looked old and unique here. But it also look modern and vintage. I loved it. Jess and I were hanging out the window staring in awe.

We pull up to a gate as my dad enters the code. We pull through to a gated Subdivision filled with houses that look like they belong on Miami beach. They were huge! We rolled up to the drive way of a huge tan and white house.

"Whoa.." Jess and I say at the same time.
