There is a comfortable silence between us and the men sitting upfront. Jess is texting me on her phone. It's a little awkward to speak out loud when nobody else is talking. We're in the part of the city that probably would be considered the ghetto. The buildings are falling apart or being torn down, there are homeless people roaming around, and the streets are cracked and bumpy. My anxiety is elevating as each second passes, not knowing where the hell they are taking us. Jess passes me her phone and I hold it up to read it.

New Message:

Where the frick are we going? I don't want to be anywhere near these sketchy ass people. I will literally castrate Zayn if anything happens to us. Omfg. I'm freaked out. I hope they know what they are doing.

I laugh to myself and delete the message to start my own reply.

I'm freaked out also. It is sketchy as hell, but Michael told me they always go there to eat. He said nobody bothers you in there and its hidden kind of, so paps and fans have no clue what it is.

I hand her the phone and hear her exhale in relief. She locks her phone and puts it back in her purse. The car slows down and pull up to a brick and concrete building. Where we are parked looks like a little courtyard.  There are no cars parked anywhere. Gerard exits the car and opens our door. Jess hesitates for a second, but recovers and grasps his hand pulling herself out. I slide out right behind her and shut the door. The car pulls away and I now know why there are no cars. I grip Jess's arm and give her a worried look. Gerard leads us to a steel door that has rust covering every inch of it. He knocks three times and a peep hole slides open revealing two eyes. Gerard mumbles something to him and the man slides the hole shut. Metal grinds together making us cringe and the door opens. He motions out a hand for us to go inside. I give him an  'are you kidding me' look.

"It's not what you think, trust me. Go on." He pushes the small of my back slightly and I have no choice. I step in with Jess on my heels. The door shuts behind her and another opens in front of us at the same time. The building from the outside looked like a old abandoned building, the inside was another story. The walls were colored with different shades of red, the chairs were oranges and yellows, and the floor was black. The space was filled with retro appliances and furniture. It gives off a warm and inviting vibe. The music being played is some sort of disco music, the kind you would do The Hustle to.

We spot the boys in a round booth, with plush, bright orange, velvet covering the seat. I laugh in disbelieve at this place. Luke sees us walking towards the table. He immediately smiles and waves us over. "Hey, over here!" He yells making everyone turn and look. Michael and Zayn stand up and walk over to us.

Zayn wraps his arm around Jess leading her away. Michael kisses my cheek and pulls me to my chair. I'm inbetween Harry and Michael, then it goes Luke, Zayn, Jess, Niall, Liam, Soph, Calum, Ashton, and Louis next to Harry. The table we're at is huge and bright yellow. The conversation begins to swarm around, everyone in their own little groups. Jess, Zayn, Ashton and Calum are talking about the baby. Liam, Sophia, and Niall are conversing about the upcoming gigs. Harry and Louis are flirting with each other, while Michael is reading the menu. I'm just enjoying everyone's company. There are other tables around us filled with familiar faces and some not so familiar. There are no windows, just glass with bars covers and boards. I can see two exits from where I'm sitting.

Michael puts his hand on my thigh and rubs it with his thumb. "Y'okay?"

"Yeah, just taking in my surroundings and waiting for someone to ask if I'm you're girlfriend." I smile at him then turn to my menu, looking it over. He takes it from my hands and I glare at him.
