It's not until we reach the table that I examine what the boys are wearing. Louis is wearing Black boots, black skinny jeans and a gray t-shirt under a suit coat. Damn. I notice I'm smiling to myself as I blatantly check him out. He pulls out a chair, I thank him and he pushes me in. I look at Zayn across pulling Jess's chair out. He's wearing a white t-shirt, A black flannel left un-buttoned, and dark blue skinny's, with black shoes. Christ, mother of pearl. These guys look so hot. Jess notices I'm gawking at the boys and she kicks me under the table.
I glare at her as she gives me a 'knock it off' look. I shrug at her as if to say 'Well, what do you expect?!'
she just smiles and looks down shaking her head. The waiter hands us our menus and takes our drink orders. I am definitely not drinking tonight, I just have water. Jess orders wine while the boys order some sort of beer.
"So, Rhennie." Louis starts the conversation. " I see a couple of tattoos here, he points to my thigh, How many do you have?"
I laugh a little, "Not enough."
The whole table chuckles along with Jess agreeing with me.
"I have 8, 4 of which are matching with the people I'm closest to. My first one is on my left hip. I got it when I was 18 for my birthday. It's a feather with the words " It Can't Rain All The Time. Underneath it. I got it with our cousin Chey. The second one is on my right shoulder and It's a quote that says "There is no such thing as death, only a change in worlds." I got that after a really bad break up with my first love.
"I really like that one." Louis interjects as he smiles at me warmly.
"Thank you." I smile back shyly. He nods but stays silent waiting for me to continue.
"My third one is the one on my thigh. It says Her mind speaks from that which fills her heart. Luke 6:45. It's from the bible. The fourth, on my foot, is my matching tattoo with my best friend back home Atti. It's the Celtic symbol for friendship. The fifth is my matching tattoo with Jess. Two arrows crossing on the back of my neck one representing her one representing me. The sixth one I got is a tramp stamp."
They look at me in confusion. I laugh, "A tramp stamp is usually the mark of a tramp right above her butt on her lower back. It's usually something cheesy like a heart and wings. But since we're Irish" I point back and forth between Jess and I. "I thought it was only fitting to have my favorite symbol which is also Celtic. Its a heart, with a crown, and hands on either side of it. It's called a claddagh. It stands for love, loyalty, and friendship. A key to a successful relationship. People wear rings like this" I hold out my right, ring finger to show them my claddagh ring I got when I was younger. " for engagement and wedding rings. Obviously they are more fancy than this. But the way you point the crown shows whether or not you're single on the right hand and it shows if you're engage or married on the left hand."
"Niall would thoroughly enjoy this." Zayn says to Louis.
Louis only narrows his eyes on him and nods.
"Sorry, Go on, Rhennie." Zayn motions for me to continue.
"The next one, number 7, is on my ribs and its the continuation of a quote i have with my mom and it says "together forever but never apart.... (hers. I silently add.) Maybe in distance, But never in heart. (mine)" The 8th is on my right thigh a little bit higher. Its a octopus with an anchor and roses."
"Wow, that's quite a bit." Louis says nodding in approval.
"I know, after my first one I swore I would never get another one. I guess the pain is just addicting."
Only when Louis and Zayn get quiet and start to smirk at each other, I realize that what i just said could be used as a sexual innuendo.
"Hey, Hey! That's not what I meant. It could be true, you may never know!!" I glared at them.
Jess bursts into giggles as I try not to laugh. This is going to be bad. Don't look at her, don't look at her. I glance at her and That was it. I lost my shit and started to giggle way too hard into my napkin and snort. Oh my god. So embarrassing. That only made Jess laugh harder and the boys stared at me wide eyed. I bury my face in my napkin trying to control myself. I peek above the fabric and see Louis looking at Zayn and they start laughing silently then all at once everyone is laughing uncontrollably.
I swear by the time we got done laughing Jess and i looked like drowned rats. No more mascara for us.
"Phew, i haven't laughed like that in quite sometime!" Louis says as he moves his arm to the back of my chair and leans back trying to catch his breath.
"Sorry it had to be at your expense, Rhennie." Zayn says wiping his tears away.
"They just witnessed the first snorting encounter Rhenn, I think you're safe." Jess says checking her face for smeared eyeliner.
I wipe under my eyes and sigh deeply.
The waiter comes back and takes our food orders and refills our beverages.
"Jess, I think it's your turn to tell us about your tattoos." I change the subject so all eyes are on her.
"Well I have 6. My first one was the matching arrows with Rhenn. I got mine on my foot instead of the back of my neck. The second was a really big piece i had wanted since i was 15. Its an old stop watch and roses around it on my ribs. Let me tell you what that was the worst two sessions of my life. It hurt like a bitch." She flinches at the thought. "My third tattoo is the Hamsa hand on the back of my neck. I had to wait a little while to get the courage to get another one after my ribs. The fourth and fifth are the sun and moon on the back of my calves. The 6th one I got when Rhenn got her 8th. It's a gypsy portrait on my upper thigh. Neither of the leg ones hurt. I would get worked on all day if it was all on my legs...and free." She pondered for a minute. "Yep definitely has to be free."
I couldn't help but giggle at her.
The boys nodded in approval and began telling us about their tattoos and meanings. Most of which we already knew. We didn't interrupt though. Most of Louis correlated with Harry's. When he talked about them he looked almost sad. His eyes fell on to the glass in front of him as he spoke and his words were distant. I forgot about Larry...
The waiter came at just the right moment to change the subject. Louis blinked and looked up to the waiter to thank him. He smirked and cheekily said thank you, The waiter smiled back and walked away. He swayed his hips as he sauntered off, catching not only my eye but Louis' eyes also. I gave Jess a weird look and she shrugged.
I ignored the constant flirting. I couldn't help but wonder if Lou had a gay streak in him. I knew about Larry and many confirmed and also threw them under the bus. We, as fans, never got an actual confirmation on it. I was definitely a Larry shipper. But, really I secretly wished neither of the beautiful boys were lovers. One can only hope that its just me being me and Lou bats for my team.
We started to walk out of the restaurant. The boys paid their bill upfront. Our waiter was the cashier for our table. Lou was flirting and you could tell. What they were saying was incoherent. They were too far away. I saw Him slip the waiter his signature paying for the bill along with another piece of folded paper. Zayn laughs and shakes his head.
I look at Jess next to me. Both of us wearing 'WTF' looks. My brows furrowed and I looked down at my shoes. "This can't be happening Jess..." I say quietly.
"Rhenn I'm sure it isn't what we think it is." she says as she puts an arm around me hugging me.
"I sure hope not.." I trail off and look down the street for a distraction. I can't bring myself to look at him.
