"Wha- How do you remember me??" I narrow my eyes
"I have a good memory I guess. It was only a couple of months ago." he shruggs, aussie accent thick.
"It was 7 actually..." I look down to my shoes
"You've seen like 7 million girls since then, and you remember us out of all people?" Jess adds sarcastically
"Well... yeah I guess" He says nervously as he rubs the back of his neck
We stood in silence trying to comprehend everything. The room was spinning. So much just happened in the last 20 minutes.
"So do you girls wanna go meet a couple of my friends?" he shifts his weight akwardly.
"Yeah sure!" Jess says squeezing my hand. I look up to his dark eyes holding his gaze.
"Um sure.."
We head across the dance floor and up a couple of stairs to what looks like a VIP section. As we approach I feel everyones eyes on us.
"Hey guys so you remember the girls Louis, Zayn and I ran into at the diner in Boise?"
They nod still staring at us.
"Uh well this is Rhenn and... " he looks at Jess apologetically
"Jess.." She says smiling although I can tell she's irritated.
"Right! Rhenn and Jess!" He says.
All the boys are still watching us carefully.
"Guys come on! It's like you've never seen hot girls before. Get your shit together!" He yells just above a whisper.
Ashton and Luke blush and look down.
Michael has wide eyes and immediately turns away and sips his drink to hide his embarrassment.
"So what are you guys doing on this side of the pond?" He asks making conversation.
I look down and play with the ends of my hair between my fingers, deciding I will let Jess lead this conversation.
"We live here now, Rhenn's dad got a job here."
"Oh well that's exciting!" I felt his eyes on me.
"Yeah I guess." She says acting like its no big deal.
"Why are guys here anyways? Do you have a concert or something?" I ask, not realizing what I had just said.
Calum looked at me surprise. I looked back mortified.
"Um yeah, we're here for about a month then we leave for a couple weeks and then we are coming back for another month to see friends and what not." He says carefully
"Oh gotcha, sounds fun!" I reply still looking at the hair between my fingers.
"Yeah I guess it's fun." He chuckles
"So are you guys here by yourselves or with girls or what?"
They all snap their heads up.
"No, no. I'm single... uh...I mean WE are all single" Ashton says quickly
Jess giggles and I try to hide my amusement.
"Good to know" Jess winks at him.
He turns a pasty white and takes a big gulp of beer."
"We'll this is awkward.. Do you ladies want to dance?"
I look up to Calum asking us.
"Yeah! C'mon let's all go dance" Jess yells above the music.
"I will dance with you" Luke says to Jess.
" I call the next dance!!" Ashton yells at Luke.
"Would you dance with me?"
My head snaps up to Calum's soft features and dark eyes. He holds his hand out for me to take
Alright Rhenn this is it. Count to three. You can do this. You're at a club with hot famous guys. One of them is asking you to dance. Go ahead say yes. You deserve to have fun.
"I would love too.." I say shyly but my smile was genuine.
"Perfect." He takes my hand in his and follows Luke.
