Getting to know you

Charlie's POV

I really wanted to get to know Niall, during the week people have been telling me to stay away from him, maybe because Niall had alot of tattoos and piercings. I felt sorry for him.

'My family abandoned me when I was 12 and I've been living by myself for years. I move around a lot'

I kept thinking about what he said, he couldn't of just lived by himself, without anyone to give him food or anything. But he did say he moves around a lot so i doubt he'll even stay in England for long. His appearance wasn't the best, he had dirty blonde hair and at school he wore some hoodie. The teachers were scared by him, I could tell. But it wasn't gonna stop me from getting to know him.

It was the weekend so i decided to meet Yasmine and go for a walk in the woods. "What do you think about Niall?" i asked curiously. "I think he's a bit imtimidating but very nice." Yasmine smiled. "Why? Has someone got a crush?" She teased. "No. I just think he's lonely and needs some friends." We walked deeper in the woods and started to hear some creepy sounds.

"Um..C-Charlie, can w-w-we turn back?"

"Are you crazy?! This is fun!" Even though i was scared like Yasmine, i found the woods so interesting.

We walked deeper and found the lake, and started to get changed into our bikini's. "Are you sure about this?" Yasmine was so uneasy about most things. "Yeah, c'mon." I pushed her into the water and she screamed so loud all the birds came flying over us. Out of no where, Niall appeared. I jumped into the water and splashed Yasmine. "Um..Niall? What you doing here?" Yasmine spat. Niall seemed out of breath. "Sorry, I'm just jogging around the woods." I sensed he was lying. "In the woods, really?" "Yep. I love it." He smiled, oh my god he was gorgeous. "Well, we don't really know you so will let you go back to your jog." Yasmine said rudely. I slapped her and stopped Niall from leaving. "Stay, we can all get to know each other better!" I smiled.

Niall stayed with us, he seemed a bit worried. "So, we know your from Ireland and that, whats your favourite food?" I saw him lick his lips. "Its anything, I love all sorts of food!" He said cheerfully. "Do you cook?" Yasmine asked. "Yeah, I can cook anything." After a while we got to know Niall pretty well, became quite good friends. "Here's my number, text me yours." He winked. I think i just fainted.

"Why have you been living alone..?" I carefully asked.

"My parents were killed in a war." Nialls tone went down and he looked at the floor.

I gave him a hug, "Sorry Niall, i didn't mean it to upset you."

"Why didn't you go live with your grandparents or something?!" "They died too, my whole family is dead, I only have friends, we travel together all around the world. We only stay in a place for a month or so."

"We?" I started to feel uneasy around Niall now. "My pack." Pack? Was he in a gang? I was even more scared of him now.

"Don't be scared" Niall said softly.

Fuck.

He knows what I'm thinking.

Yasmine ha gone back into the lake and left me and Niall alone. "I can read minds." He whispered in my ear sending chills down my back. My eyes were full off fear. "Whats your pack?" I was so interested by him. "Wow, you ask a lot of questions." Niall chuckled. "My pack, the people who look after me as I'm the youngest. We're controlled by the pack leader." Pack leader? He was so mysterious. "My pack leader saved my life so I owe my life to him, I do everything for him." He keeps reading my stupid mind. "Anything else you wanna know about me Charlie?" "Yes, where do you live?" Niall looked scared about my question. "W-why do you wanna know?" He stammered. "So we can hang out." I tried to sound positive. He gave me a cute corner smile and lightly hugged me.

Nialls POV

Charlie seemed scared by me but asked me so many questions. She was so cute, when I left her and that girl Yasmine I texted her. She knew pretty much everything about me but, I knew nothing about her.

When she asked me where I lived I couldn't answer it. I live in a cave, how am I meant to tell her that. I'm a vampire. How am I meant to tell her that. Like I was gonna stay round this area for long anyway.

As a vampire, I have special powers, reading minds, traveling fast. I think when I read Charlie's mind I scared her a little bit, which I don't want do.

Something about her.

I liked her.

Why am I having these thoughts, she's a human and I'm a..monster.

If she ever saw me mad she'd hate me forever.

Anyway I couldn't fall in love because my life is devoted to my pack and my master.

I got home, well my cave and texted Charlie.

To:Charlie:P
Wanna meet up tonight for a drink?

I waited nervously for her reply, maybe she didn't like me or thought I was annoying and weird.

Why do I keep having these thoughts.

My phone beeped and Charlie replied.

From:Charlie:P
Yeah sure x

To:Charlie:P
Okay, il come pick you up at like 8 ?

From:Charlie:P
Yeah, see you then:)x

She put a kiss to me! I probably sound so stupid but that basically means she likes me.

"I'm going out tonight and I don't know what time il be back." I stammered to my Master. He nodded and I walked away getting ready, I was nervous for the first time in my life.
