Harry and Miss Janissa woke me up this morning really early. They made me get dressed and eat breakfast before school. I was a little scared of going all by myself. I mean, I know i've been to school before, but where I was staying before, I went to a different school. Since Harry adopted me, I had to change schools, and I was held back a grade due to it.
I also think it's funny because Harry always thinks I need someone to explain everything to me. Some things I don't understand, yes, but everything, no. I know what adoption is. I know that I was adopted. Plain and simple. I am not stupid.
"Ready, bud?" Harry calls from the kitchen. I was sitting on the couch watching cartoons while Miss Janissa politely makes my lunch. I had to make sure to tell her not to put one of those notes in it. She just laughed and nodded her head. I jumped down from the couch, and grabbed my book-bag. That's another thing I hate. I am really short, my feet dangle of the end of the couch.
"Yes sir." I salute him. He smiles, grabbing a small bag with my name on it from Miss Janissa. She is sitting by the door way with her arms crossed, and a huge smile on her face.
"Have fun, Jess." She smiles.
"Bye Miss Janissa." I wave to her. She waves back, before I run to give her a hug, then follow dad out to the car.

"Listen, I got the job at the coffee house, so you'll have to go to the daycare today until I get a set schedule. Janissa will pick you up at two, okay?" Harry smiles. I quickly nod my head as he points to the spot by the entrance. Harry walks me to the front office to find out where my class is. When we get there, he stops outside of the class room, crouching down to meet my eyes. "You be careful. You got it." He said with a serious face.
"Yes sir." I whispered. He gave me a small hug and a kiss on the top of my head before he had to leave. The teacher brought me into the class with the rest of the students. Her hair was short, and kind of dark, but not as dark as Miss Janissa's. Her dress was long, and loose around her ankles.
"Listen up class," She announces, and everyone becomes silent. "This is our new student, Jess. Do your best to make him feel welcome." He attention turned from the class to me. "Why don't you sit right there with Anthony." I nodded and sat next to the small boy with short black hair.
"Hi..." I whisper taking off my backpack.
"Hi..." He whispered back. A small smile spread across his face as the teacher began to teach the class.
The door to Harry's bedroom opened and closed, soon after, the bed shifted telling me he sat down. I was cuddled up in the duvet by myself, my hair fanned out. His arm slung around me pulling us closer.
"Go away." I whispered, hiding my face in the pillow. Harry laughed then moved the hair out of my face. He always did that, that 'move' guys do, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.
"It's my bed." He whispered kissing my ear. His eyes met mine, his hand still holding my face. "Cuddle with me."
"No."
"Why not?" He fake pouted.
"You never cuddle with me when I ask..."
"Yes I do!"
"No you do not!" I protest, sitting up. He grabbed the duvet in his hands, pulling it off of my body, wrapping himself in it. "Harry!" I whine. "I'm cold."
"Then cuddle with me!"
"No!"
"Then freeze."
