J A N I S S A
Both Louis and I agreed it would be best if I went to the hospital to get my arm checked out. I had to make sure it was okay with Jess that I left him with Louis. I trust him completely with Jess, but after what I found out tonight, there was no way I was just going to leave him alone. After triple checking with Jesse that it was okay he was left alone, I headed off to the hospital.
I wasn't waiting long after I filled out the paperwork, and was taken to a room on the same floor as Harry. I didn't see him before the doctor told me to take a seat on the hospital bed. My arm was extended on the bed, showing how deep the bite actually was.
"How the hell did you manage to do that?" The doctor asked, laughing humorlessly. I stared up at him as his laugh began to fade. His eyes were deep green, like Harry's, but his hair was shorter, and lighter.
"Nine year old with nightmares." I sigh. His name tag read Dr. Drayne. He cleaned it vigorously, then loosely wrapped it with a gauze. Well, I could have done that, I laugh to myself. "So," I laugh, "am I done, then?"
"No quite. I'll have a nurse come in to check your vitals-"
"Is that really necessary?" I question.
"Its procedure. She'll come in, then I will come back to prep you for stitches. It shouldn't take long."
"That's fine. Just don't send me the blonde, Chloe."
A look of amusement took over Dr. Drayne's face, making him look younger. He pulled up a chair, bringing it next to the bed. His arm reached over to pull the coat rack looking pole, wheeling it next to him.
"I thought you were going to send a nurse." I laugh, trying to ease the bit of awkwardness I was feeling for unsure reasons.
"She's the only nurse on call tonight." He smiled. Without another word, he placed the blood pressure cuff around my arm, watching my eyes the entire time the monitor was rising. He began to start small talk, starting with his name. Aaron. "So, you were baby sitting?" He smirked. For a moment, I was to focused on his face to notice his lips were moving.
"Huh?"
"Who bit you?" He laughed again. It sounded nothing like Harry's, though not to say it wasn't beautiful.
"My fiance's son." Realization hit me as the words left my mouth. Aaron eyes completely left mine, now directing all of his attention purely on my vitals.
"Fiance?" He shook his head. "Should have guessed..."
"How so?"
"Because you are absolutely beautiful."
I smiled.

After Aaron finished stitching up my arm, he wrapped it with another clean gauze. He wrote me a prescription for some type of pain killer for about a week, and told me I needed to come back so he could take the stitches out. I hadn't noticed on the back of the paper, he left his number with a small note, reading: ' In case it doesn't work out... I mean, if you have any questions.'
I smiled down at the note, subconsciously walking into Harry's room, where of course, Chloe was. Probably just 'checking his vitals'. She gave me a small smile, before leaving the room, laughing at something he said.
"Hey, baby." He smiled, faintly.
"Hi." I said, sitting next to him on the bed. His arm was no longer in a sling, but was still bandaged pretty tightly. At least the bleeding stopped. When he noticed the look on my face, his smile completely faded.
