#9 Thunderstorm

You roll over starring at the red numbers on your clock. '5:32' you close your eyes trying to calm down as a clap of thunder and a hint of lightning peaks through the window. You jump, Phil must have felt you jump because he was quick to wrap his arm around you
"You okay?" He asks kissing your cheek.
"It's storming." You say cuddling his chest.
"It is?" He asks unaware of the horror outside. A boom of thunder answered him and the rain pelted the Windows harder, "i guess it is." He chuckles pulling you in tight.
"This is dumb," you roll your eyes.
"What?"
"I'm 28 and still scared of thunder and lightning." You close your eyes burying your head in his shoulder.
"Haha, can't be embarrassed if you can't help it love." He consoles kissing the top of your head.
Dan
You and Dan had gotten into a fight and so he slept on the couch but at three in the morning you were awaken to thunder booming, lightning filling the room and rain hitting your window.
After trying to fall asleep for another two hours you got up and found yourself holding your pillow tight to your chest, running to the living room where Dan was fast asleep on the couch in his crease.
"Dan!" You whisper. No answer. You kneel down and shake him awake. He opens his eyes and jumps back at your face in his.
"What's wrong?" He asks going to sit up.
"It's storming, and I'm scared." You confess your cheeks turning a light red. He chuckles and holds the blankets up for you to crawl into. He spoons you kissing your cheek.
"I'm sorry love." He apologizes rubbing your arm under the blanket.
"No it was dumb, I'm sorry." You say but jump when a clap of the thunder fills the room. He pulls you closer and you roll over hiding in his chest. "I hate this." You chuckle.
"I think you're adorable when you scared." He replies lightning lighting the room up. You just close your eyes and smile taking in the sweet smell of Dan.
