I gasped, my eyes flying open. That bastard staked me. "Klaus," I growled, pushing myself off the bed I was in. Wait, bed? Had he moved me to a bed? That doesn't make it any better, he still staked me in the heart. How long had I even been out?
"I am going to shove a stake through your eye when I find you," I hissed as I stormed downstairs. "Or maybe I'll take the dagger out of Elijah and let him do it for me."
"Already take care of," A familiar voice said behind me. I jumped and spun round on my heel.
"Elijah," I whispered, my breath catching in my throat. I walked towards him slowly, neither of us moving our eyes from the others. I lifted my hand to his cheek and let out a breath of relief, "It's really you."
A smile broke out on his face as he rested his forehead against mine, "Who else would it be?"
"Well, after watching you die several times I didn't know what to expect... This could have been one of Klaus's tricks again," I sighed, biting my lip.
"What has he done to you?" Elijah whispered with pain in his voice, his hand resting against my cheek softly.
"Come on, I'll explain everything," I smiled and took his hand in mine, pulling him over to the settee in the lounge. My eyes roamed his body as he sat beside me, and I couldn't suppress my smile.
"What?" He questioned with the smirk I loved.
"I'm just so glad you're back... But how did you get out? Klaus said he wasn't going to take the dagger out?" I frowned, but stopped as Elijah's thumb gently rubbed the back of my hand in comfort.
"Your brother took the dagger out," Elijah replied.
"Damon?" I was surprised to say the least, although I guess I shouldn't be because of what he had said last night.
"So, what torture has my brother been putting you through?" Elijah joked, but his smile dropped when he saw me flinch at the word torture. "Wait, has he actually...?"
"Locked me in a room, drained my blood and put me in the middle of a small circle of sand that burned my whole body if I stepped into it? Or are you talking about the part where he forced me to watch him murder innocent people that his witchy friend made look like my friends and family, which also made my body force itself into the sand that caused me indescribable pain for days on end?" I rose my eyebrows at him, finally letting out my anger at Klaus for what he had put me through. Memories of Elizabeth flashed in my mind and I whispered, more to myself than Elijah, "He used my sister against me."
"Your sister?" Elijah frowned, "You never mentioned that you have a sister."
"I don't have a sister, she's dead," I muttered, looking away from him. "She died when I was thirteen... She was five and she died of pneumonia. It was my fault and Klaus used it torture me further. He shouldn't have taken that memory from me, he ha no right to see that."
"What did he see?" Elijah asked me softly, seeing that I was upset about the whole sister subject.
"My last moments with her, he just went right on inside my head and took it from me," I said darkly, "That was my memory, she was my sister. The reason I didn't tell anyone about her is because I didn't want anyone to take her from me, my memories of her are the only thing I have... Had."
"Just because Niklaus has seen inside your head doesn't mean he has taken the memory from you, you still have that," Elijah reasoned, but I was too frustrated to care for his reasoning.
"He shouldn't have done it," I narrowed my eyes at the wall in front of me.
"No he shouldn't have, I am merely trying to reassure you that your memories have not been taken from you," Elijah continued to speak in a kind tone, even though I was being rude to him.
