Elijah and I were planning on having a cosy night in that night, after the whole ordeal that day. I was praying that Klaus had the sense not to come home that night, or there might be more blood shed - and it would not be mine. Not this time.

I curled up beside Elijah as the film played on the television at the end of his bed. His arms were wrapped around me, one hand stroking my hair. Suddenly, loud banging on the front door broke our calm relaxation. I jumped slightly, at the sudden noise, causing Elijah to chuckle slightly. "I'll go get that," He sighed after we tried to ignore it but the banging wouldn't stop. He climbed out of the bed and went downstairs.

"Have you seen her?" Damon demanded as soon as Elijah opened the door, I could hear the strain in his voice from where I was upstairs. I climbed out the bed and went downstairs to see Damon and Stefan stood at the door.

"Becs," Stefan sighed in relief, the two Salvatore's hurrying to my side.

"Guys, I'm fine," I laughed as they pulled me into a hug each. "Tyler got me here and then him and Rebekah dealt with the crazy witch trying to desiccate me."

"I was so worried... All that blood," Damon whispered, hugging me again. I smiled at him, how he didn't keep up his 'bad boy' persona when he was around me or worried about me. He didn't care of people saw his softer side when he was around me, it was nice.

"Elijah sorted me out," I laughed, "Don't tell him I told you, but he was super scared as well."

"I was not," Elijah argued, trying to keep up his scary Original persona, "I was mildly worried."

"Sure you were," I rolled my eyes, before turning back to Damon, "Are you okay though? What happened with Klaus?"

"Oh you know, we had words," Damon smirked.

"Words?" I raised an eyebrow. What was it with these guys and their metaphorical 'words'?

"I am a very civilised person, I will have you know," Damon replied, trying to act cool.

"Civilised my arse," Stefan scoffed. "Are you coming home tonight, or staying here?"

"Staying here," I replied, before continuing after seeing his concerned look, "I'll be fine, Elijah will be with me."

"I know but..." He said, glancing at Elijah before back at me.

"You're worried that I'm going to try and rip my heart out or go on a rampage and kill a load of people? Please don't treat me like a baby Stefan, I will be fine," I rolled my eyes and walked off into the kitchen, just to get away from Stefan's judging look.

I pushed myself up and sat on the counter. I could hear Stefan, Damon and Elijah talking in the hallway. "Is she still having nightmares about the coffin?" Elijah asked quietly. Clearly they didn't want me to know they were talking about me, but hybrid hearing was pretty intense.

"Yes, and still trying to rip her heart out every night. She's pretending like she's okay, but she's not. She's finding it harder adjusting back to normal life than she's letting on," Stefan sighed. What does he know? He's only seen me for a few hours yesterday, and then I got drunk with Damon all night. Tyler is the only one who can judge how well I am or am not adjusting back to 'humanity on' life.

"She seems like she's coping well enough, all things considering," Elijah replied. Thank you, Elijah. Someone with a bit of sense, and someone who actually knows me a little bit better.

"Coping? You call repeatedly trying to rip your own heart out 'coping'?" Damon sounded irritated as he said this. I thought he'd be on my side, even if Stefan wasn't. Stefan was always the worrier of the two brothers.
