Elijah made me stay around the compound for the next week, after the miracle pregnancy. He didn't want anyone hearing about it, or having the opportunity to hurt me or Squirt over it. Klaus hadn't spoke to me since he found out, he barely even looked at me. I can't say I minded that too much.

I waddled around the compound, trying to stretch my legs, late morning after being stuck in bed. I huffed, and called out, "Elijah!"

He was beside me in less than a second, "What? Are you okay? Is it the baby?" He fussed over me, causing me to smile at him, whilst biting back a laugh.

"I'm fine, we're both fine, Elijah," I laughed lightly, leaning on him slightly as my back ached. "We're just very bored and tired of being stuck in here."

"It's for your safety that you are stuck in here, both of your safety," Elijah sighed, wrapping his arm around my waist with his hand resting on my bump.

"Can we go to the bayou and see Hayley? We'll be safe there, Hayley won't let anything happen to us, and with you there who's going to hurt me?" I batted my eyelashes, pleading him, "And I can talk to Eve about miracle baby birth tips - Hayley said she's been really good with her."

Elijah sighed again, "Fine, fine, we can go to the bayou, but I'm staying at your side. Deal?"

"Elijah, you have yourself a deal," I grinned and kissed him softly. "Now let's go."

When we arrived at the bayou Jackson greeted us, looking at me like I was an alien. "Wow, Hayley told me you were... But... Wow..."

"Pregnant, yes," I nodded. Jackson continued to stare at my bump until I spoke again, "So... Can you tell us where Hayley is?"

"Oh yeah, she's in the hut," He nodded. I thanked him before Elijah and I headed to the hut. I knocked on the door and pushed it open, seeing Hayley sat on the floor with Eve.

"Hi," I smiled.

"Becs! What are you guys doing here?" Hayley grinned and stood up with the help of Eve. "Hi Elijah."

"We need to talk," Elijah said to Hayley. I frowned and looked up at Elijah, who was giving Hayley a very serious look. What was that about?

"I figured," Hayley sighed, "I'll get Jackson and Oliver."

"What's going on?" I frowned, speaking to Elijah after Hayley left.

"She made a deal with Klaus," He muttered lowly.

"With Klaus?" I was surprised to say the least, I thought she hated Klaus. Elijah nodded. "Well, you go and deal with that, I'll stay with Eve, I have a few questions to ask her."

Elijah glanced over to Eve who nodded at him and he nodded back. He kissed me on the forehead, whispering he wouldn't be far away, before leaving the hut. "So, you've got a miracle baby of your own," Eve smiled at me, helping me sit down.

"Apparently," I laughed. "I've never felt so incapable in my life."

"I bet it was a shock to open your eyes to that bump," Eve grinned.

"I couldn't even sit or stand up on my own at the start. Not to mention I have to waddle everywhere now," I rolled my eyes. "It will be worth it though."

"I'm sorry about your friend," Eve smiled sadly.

"Is it mad that I don't feel like she's dead? Because she lives on in the baby I'm carrying," I sighed, resting my hand on the bump.

"It's not mad, Becs, in fact I think that's probably better than falling into a pit of grief," Eve smiled and took my hand, "I think you'll make a great mother."
