I never planned to make this a lemon, but at some point it became one...

"I'm sorry, but for the last time I will not do this sir." You heard a firm yell from the office of your boss.
A co-worker of yours stomped out of your boss' office with an angrily look. She went to her cubicle and stuffed all of her things in a box.
"Consider this as a goodbye Mr. Kirkland." She yelled as you sipped your drink quietly.
She stomped out of the room and slammed the door. You looked up at the your boss' office. He had an awful look on his face. You quietly sipped your coffee as you watched the scene. This has been the fourth time this month that someone quitted. It's been a big issue now. Ever since that god, Loki, has been discovered, it's been a rollercoaster ride for the company you've been working for. Getting information about the god was impossible. Not a single company or business around the world has succeeded.
"So close..." Arthur sighed as he looked at you. "(Y/n)."
"Hm?" You placed your coffee down as you gulped the hot components in your mouth. "Yes sir?"
"Are you willing to take the job?" He asked you.
You looked from side to side and pointed at yourself. Arthur rose his eyebrow as you shrugged. You were actually fine with the job even if it's harder than solving the secrets behind the Bermuda.
"I don't mind." You stated. "Besides, Loki's somewhere around these parts."
You were a stationed journalist in New York. Your English boss has been working with you for almost three years now looking for some information about Loki. The god was a slippery and slick piece of shit. Little did the god know that you've been stalking information about him for a few months now. Even before he appeared to the media.
~Time Skip is Back~
You were walking down an alley where a fire escape was that led to your apartment. The cats meowed, sounds of broken air conditioners were heard, the beeping of cars from the traffic echoed through the walls, and the sound of your footsteps that accompanied you. It was just another peaceful night.
Well... Not really.
"Go away Francis." You sighed and crossed your arms as you saw the Frenchman in front of you.
Francis was your stalker. Well, you think he is. It's weird that he knows where you live and where you pass by to get home. He's been meeting you every single day at the bottom of the fire escape. You've tried to pry him away, but he just wouldn't. This guy has some guts.
"You know that I can't, ma cherie." He smiled at you.
You sighed and shook your head. You went up the fire escape ignoring him. He followed you upstairs like he always does. He talks about random stuff trying to interest you into something. The Frenchman never failed you though. You would end up talking to him by the time you both got up at your window sill. It's the only conversation of the day you would have without work included. Your co-workers would include work in their conversations and you don't really have many friends around the state.
"Francis..." You sat on your window sill as he got up. "Have you ever wondered who Loki is?"
This question surprised the Frenchman. It wasn't everyday that you'd bring up your interests or even strike a conversation with him. This was definitely something new to your strange friendship with him.
"Why do you ask ma cherie?" He asked you.
"I've let you in my apartment more than once and you haven't seen my bookshelf?" You rose your eyebrow at him as he shrugged.
