Annabeth

"You really think this will work?" Piper nods.

"He's a mess without you. I promise that this will be like, a healing or something," she says.

"I hope your right, and I haven't just made a fool of myself."

"Don't worry, Annie. This is a good idea."

So I waited. And waited. Those excruciating hours of wait. Hours later, my phone rang. An unknown number came up. I answered with a shaky hand.
I didn't say anything. My throat just closed up when I heard his voice.

"Wise Girl?"

"Seaweed Brain," I whispered. At the same time we said:

"I miss you." Percy laughed lightly.

"Oh gods. I miss you so much," he said. "I love the skateboard."

I felt like crying. "I'm sorry. This was all my fault. I shouldn't have been-"

"No. Annabeth none of this was your fault. I was stupid not to notice how much it bothered you. I'm so sorry. Are you...are you free this week?"

My heart fluttered. I quickly checked my calendar. "Yeah. I am."

"I'm coming to see you. You still live in New York?"

"I never left."

"It's a date then. I mean- unless you don't...uh...want it...to be-"

"It's a date Seaweed Brain. I'll see you soon."

I could feel him grinning. "Bye Wise Girl."

2 days later
Percy

Oh gods I was so nervous. I was gripping my luggage, my knuckles turning white. I searched the crowd for curly blonde hair, but came up with nothing.

"Percy?"

I turned around to see Annabeth standing right behind me. She looked breathtaking. Her hair was let lose, cascading down her back. Her clothes, a crop top and a black skater skirt, made her look absolutely beautiful.

"Annabeth," I breathed. We surged to each other at the same time. I wrapped my arms around her as we kissed. Wise Girl, I thought happily.

She wrapped her legs around my waist trying to pull me closer. I held her tighter, but making sure not to hurt her. Annabeth's fingers ran through my hair, making it messier then before. We pulled away, breathless, slightly panting.

"I love you," I blurted. Annabeth's eyes widened and she grinned.

"I love you too." She grabbed my hand intertwining our fingers. I tested my forehead against hers, taking in the moment. She smelled like lemons. It was intoxicating.
We eventually went to her house, where we spent sometime talking, but mostly making out.

"Annabeth?" I said, against her lips.

"Mhmm?"

I felt myself turn red. "Will you go out with me...again?" She pulled away, sitting on my lap. Her eyes were shining with tears.

"Oh Annabeth," I pulled her into a hug, caressing her hair. "You don't have to say y-"

"No! It's just. Gods Percy. I want to, I badly want to. It's just...I feel horrible saying yes after hurting you so bad," Annabeth sniffles.

"I don't care about the past. We're here together, kissing and I don't want this to be meaningless. I want to be with you despite what you once did. Annabeth, I love you. I've never stopped loving you and I never will stop loving you. I'll wait a thousand years just to date you." I kissed the tip of her nose.

"You wouldn't be alive in a thousand years," Annabeth teases. I laugh and pull her closer.

"Yes. I'd love to go out with you."

I grin and grab her chin turning her face to mine. I lightly kissed her, which escalating pretty quickly.

Let's just say that her neighbors complained about the noise.
