Annabeth

I looked around the archery range and I saw that someone's arrow had been thrown nowhere near the target. I realized it was Jerry's, son of Nike, and went to go pick it up.

"Hey you go Jerry," I said, holding the arrow out. Jerry's eyes widened and he looked around scared. Jerry hurriedly grabbed the arrow and ran.

"What the heck?" I said, standing there utterly confused. I raised an eyebrow at his retreating form and went back to shooting.

Later, I went to the arena and was practicing on some dummies when Bailey, son of Hermes, walking in. He saw me standing there hacking away and slowly turned around, walking to the opposite side of the arena. I frowned, wondering what was up with all the boy today. I kept practicing, noticing that Bailey kept his distance from me the whole time. I soon left though, not needing anymore unnecessary silence.

I walked down the cabins, looking at each one, admiring the architecture. I had helped design the cabins and they turned out quite nicely. I guess I wasn't looking, because before I knew it, I was lying on the ground.

"Ow!" I yelled, touching my head. I looked up to the face of Ryan, son of Apollo, and he looked really freaked out.

"Sorry Annabeth!" He said, getting up. Ryan reached out a hand and pulled he up too. "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking."

"Ryan, it's fine, really. Don't sweat it," I replied, putting my hand on his bicep.

"Are you hurt? Oh gods sorry Annabeth," he repeated, looking awfully worried.

"Ryan calm down. I'm perfectly fine okay? Don't worry," I squeezed his bicep, hoping to convey my feelings.

Ryan nodded and seemed to calm. "Alright. I'll see you later."

"Bye Ryan." He nodded and walked away back to his cabin.
*********
It was time for dinner, so my cabin mates and I lined up, and walked out. As we sat at the Athena table, I noticed that Percy was glaring at the Apollo table.

What? I thought.

I tried to get his attention, but his gaze was fixed on the Apollo campers. He finished his blue pizza, and went to go throw his grapes into the fire. As he walked by the Apollo table, his glare went harder and all of the campers shrank under his gaze.

Except for one.

Ryan.

Percy frowned and looked away, finally meeting my eyes. I have him a look, and he blushed looking away right after. He hurried back to his table, eating what he had left. I sighed and ate my salad, talking to each of my siblings.

When dinner and camp fire were done, we headed back to the Athens cabin. I called lights out and slept.

The next morning was the same deal. All the boys stayed clear of me. I tried to ask Jonathan from Hebe what was up with everyone, but he bolted saying he had something to do.

Every time I got near a boy, they ran off. I finally got sick of it and cornered Malcolm.

"What's with all the boys avoiding me? I've had enough of 'oh I can't talk now Annabeth' and then bolting off!" I asked him.

He looked around, then pulled me into our cabin. He went to his desk and pulled out a white sheet of paper.

"This is the reason why."

Hey guys.

Now I'm just gonna set things straight. If you don't want to end up in the infirmary for a week, read what I have to say.

1) Hands to yourself. Annabeth's mine.
2) Lonely? Too bad. I have Annabeth, you guys can get yourself pizza or something.
3) Checking Miss Chase out will only result in the flooding of your cabin.
4) If you enjoy having functioning arms, don't try to kiss, hug or make a move on my girl.

Unless you deny immortality for this daughter of Athena, I suggest you follow these rules.

In demigodisness and all that,
Percy Jackson

I blushed, and looked am Malcolm. "This is all a prank...right?"

"Trust me it ain't," Malcolm replied. I nodded and handed him back the letter.

"Do you know where Percy is now?" I asked calmly.

"Uh...I think he's in his cabin," he said. I nodded.

"I'll be right back. Tell Chiron not to worry if he hears screams coming from the Poseidon cabin." Malcolm nodded.

I left my cabin and ran to Percy's. I opened the door, letting it slam behind me.

He looked up from twirling Riptide, looking slightly confused. "Hey. What's up?"

"I swear one of these days I'm going to kill you," I replied. I went over and punched him in the arm.

"Ow! What was that for?!" He yelled.

"Oh don't pretend it hurt, liar! I cannot even fathom the idea of those stupid letters!" I yelled back. He rubbed his arm and slowly realized what I was taking about.

"Oh. The letter. Ha ha... Please don't kill me," Percy said.

"When I'm done with you, you'll wish you never sent those letters!" I shouted. Percy backed away.

"Now come on, Annabeth. Let's be rational," Percy held his hands out.

"Oh I am being rational!" I yelled. I pushed his hands away, and pinned him against the wall.

"Gods sometimes you can be really stupid Percy," I muttered, eyeing his lips. "If you just told me that you liked me, we could have been doing this ages ago."

"D-doing wh-what?" He stuttered.

"This," I replied, and smashed my lips to his. He seemed shocked at first, but then kissed me back just as fiercely. He turned so now, I was pinned against the wall, and pressed me into it hard. My fingers twirling his hair around, his hand going to my cheek, the other staying on my waist. We pulled away, breathing heavily.

"Wow," Percy said.

I grinned, "You could say that again."

Percy grinned back. "You do not know how happy I am right now. No one could top it."

I smirked at him. "Oh really? Cause I think I can."

He smirked ball, his eyes exploring my face. "Try me."
