BACKGROUND: We meet Dr. Will Solace, who specializes in Pediatrics. He is in line to pay for a fine and notices a woman in front of him, who seems to be scratching her hand furiously. He suspects something, hopes and prays he's wrong. Why?
The woman is pregnant.
Will

Oh no. That was what I thought immediately. I tapped her shoulder and she turned around, rather annoyed.

"Yes?" She asked.

"I can't help but notice that you seem to have a rash on your hand?" I pointed to her red right hand and she flinched.

"Yeah. It's so annoying." She complained.

"How long has it been there? If you don't mind me asking."

She smiled kindly. "Oh it's fine. Uh, maybe a couple weeks? Why? Should I be worried?"

"Oh no," I said. "I was just hoping you would pass by Grey-Sloan, so that I could check it out for you?"

She frowned. "That would be really good, it's just that I'm kinda tight on money, saving up for my baby."

I frowned as well. Then an idea popped into my head. "You can go to the Denny Duque Clinic. We don't charge."

She nodded and stepped up to the door. "Will do. Thanks!"

I was not surprised to see the blonde sitting in the waiting room. She was reading a rather large book, by the name Beautiful Creatures.

"Hey stranger," I said. She looked up and grinned.

"Hey, doc. Since we might been seeing each other a lot, might as well get on first name bases right? Annabeth Chase."

"Will Solace," I shook her hand and we headed to a bed. She sat down and I examined her hand.

"Okay, this looks a bit more serious then I'd like it. I'm going to run a few test, so a nurse will be over to draw your blood," I explained. "Is there anyone you would like us to call?"

"The baby's father, please. He's the first person on my speed dial. Percy Jackson."

"I came as soon as I got the call. Are you okay? Is she okay?" A man rushed in and sat next to Annabeth. He was really cute but I could see that he was totally straight. He held her opposite hand and she smirked.

"I'm fine, Percy. Will was just worried." She pointed at me and Percy and I shook hands.

"So we got your results back. Have you experienced an weight loss, fatigue, nausea, fever, or vomiting?" I asked.

"I've always been very skinny, but yes I dropped a few pounds. I have been feeling a bit under the weather, but that's just because I'm pregnant, right?" Annabeth asked.

I hated myself. I wished I'd never became a doctor and I wished I wasn't about to ruin her life.

"It's not the baby. I'm sorry, but you have Stage 4, Liver Cancer."

Her face went blank and tears welled in her eyes. Percy was a stone wall, unmoving. She leaned into him and sobbed softly. He gripped her and rubbed her back.

"With this type of cancer, you may only have a few months, as it is slowly professing to the rest of your internal organs. I would suggest transplant, but there's nothing a new organ can do. I would like to start you on chemo therapy, but one thing stands in your way," I finished, my voice dropping a bit.

"What?" Percy asked.

"Your baby. If you choose to do chemo therapy, the radiation will kill the baby. You would want to have an abortion-"
