I looked around the store, waiting for my break. Just 2 more hours. The only occupants were an old couple, a mother; her little girl and boy, and me, the checkout guy.

I grabbed at my shirt, trying to pull out a stray string. The door dinged open, but I didn't look up until the little girl yelled:

"Mommy! Mommy! Cinderella's in the shoe store!" She yelled with excitement. I glanced up and saw that a girl with curly blonde hair, wearing a blue sundress and white converse had walked in. She smiled at the girl and blushed.

I couldn't help, but notice how she had grey eyes, that ruined the whole "dumb blonde" look. They seemed to calculate the move of every person in the store. She met my eyes and looked down, a blush spreading again. I felt my own face heat up and I looked down at my own shoes.

"Do you have these in a six?" The girl was standing before me holding a pair of all black converse high tops. I grinned, I was wearing those exact pair.

"I'll check," I grabbed it from her and went to the back to find them. I soon found her shoes and went back. I slid then towards her and she smiled in thanks. She turned and went back to a seat and tried them on. When she saw that they fit, she came back.

"Buying?" I asked. I mentally slapped myself, of course she was buying them idiot. She laughed and nodded. Her laugh sounded like bells.

I rang them up and she paid with a twenty. "Can I have those purple laces?" She asked, point to the ones behind me. I nodded and grabbed them off the rack. I added them and she gave me a five.

"Thanks," she said.

Before I could lose the courage I called, "Bye Cinderella."

She stopped halfway to the door and turned in her heel. For a second I thought she was going to yell at me, but instead she just strut over.

She leaned over the counter, pressing her mouth to my ear. "Bye Prince Charming." She slid something across the counter, right in front of my hand.

"Call me," she whispered before walking out the store. She had a lemony smell.

I looked down at the counter and saw she had written her number on a slip of paper. I'm Annabeth was written under it.

Oh I couldn't wait till break.
