Percy

Why did I let them talk me into this? Why?

Here I was standing in the booth. The kissing booth. Oh gods above help me. Jason and Leo had tricked me into signing up. Now the slot 7 to 9 was for me.

"I hate you guys," I said. Leo was laughing hysterically.

"Maybe you'll get a hot date," Jason said. "Maybe Annabeth will come by."

I blush. "How many times do I have to say-"

"You don't like her," they chorus. Jason and Leo have this theory that I have a crush on my best friend.

"Dude, it's obvious you do," Leo says. I glare at him.

"She's not coming anyway. She has to study for a test."

Jason grins evilly. "We'll see about that."
***********
Annabeth

"No! I have to study, Thalia." I say. Piper groans.

"You always study!" She protests.

"And who gets straight As?"

"Oh shut up Annie. You know you want to come. Plus the whole gang is gonna be there!" Thalia said. I debate this. Study or go hang out like a normal teenager?

"Fine," I mutter after a period of silence. Thalia and Piper rejoice. They drag me out of the house and to the fair.

"Where are those knuckleheads?" Thalia looks around searching for our friends. She already has out tickets, and were just waiting for them. We hear them before we see them.

"Leo! Stop it!" Callie yells at him. He's ticking her and she's trying to swat his hand away.

"Never!" He screams. Behind him, Frank is giving a Hazel a piggyback ride and Grover is doing the same to Juniper. Jason is trailing behind them, kicking a random stone.

I don't see Percy anywhere. "Where's Percy?" I ask.

Leo and Jason grin at each other. "He's at a booth."

"Let's go meet him then!" Piper says. They all begin to make their way around. I follow.

When we finally manage to find Percy, kissing some random girl. I feel the blood rush to my cheeks as I blush.

"Annabeth are you okay?" Thalia asks. She looks where I'm staring and sees what's happening.

"Oh my gods. He didn't," she says. "He's doing a kissing booth?!"

Leo nods. "We tricked him into it."

"You didn't," Hazel said, looking over at her cousin. He was kissing another girl, this time a blonde.

He pulled away and she grinned at him. Then she leaned over and whispered something in Percy's ear and he turned bright red. She sauntered away. We all walked up to him.

"So how's the booth going?" Leo asked evilly.

"I've already gotten ten numbers," Percy grumbled. I nearly choked on my own spit. Ten numbers?!

"You are very popular, Kelp Head," Thalia said, punching his shoulder. He was about to reply when a voice said,

"Excuse me, can I go?" We stepped aside as the girl walked up to Percy. I'm not gonna lie, she was really pretty. Percy turned red in a second.

"Ticket?" He squeaked. She handed it over. Then the girl grabbed his shirt and pulled him down, laying a kiss on his lips. His eyes widened, but he didn't pull away. Finally after two minutes, a bell rang and they split.

"Thanks. Call me sometime," she pointed at the ticket.

"Make that eleven numbers," Percy corrected.

"You better call her back! She was hot!" Leo said. Callie pinches him and he apologizes.

"I might," Percy responds, staring after her. I feel something spark in me. I do not want my best friend calling her back.

"Good, you need a girlfriend," Jason teased. Piper gave him a look and he shuts up.

"I'll see you guys later," Percy called as the line filled up again.

"Oh that poor guy. He has girls fawning all over him," Piper said. The girls nodded in agreement.

"Let's go have some fun, while Percy does his booth," I suggested. We nodded and started doing on rides.

2 hours later right as Percy's shift is gonna end

"That was so fun!" I yelled. I was slightly dizzy, but I could handle it. Piper pulled me aside, followed by Hazel and Thalia.

"What's up?" I say.

"You still have one ticket left right?" Thalia asks me. I nod.

"What about it? There no rides where it can use one ticket."

They grin at each other. "There is one..."

My mind puts the pieces together. Percy. Kissing booth. One ticket left. Gods of Olympus.

"You're not saying what I think you're saying...right?"

"Go! His shift ends in two minutes!" Piper pushed me forward. I swallowed the lump in my throat and went to Percy's booth.

"Hey," I said, resting my arms on the booth.

"Oh hey Wise Girl. What do ya need?" He asked.

"I...uh...have-um-one ticket left," I stuttered. I watched as the gears turn in Percy's head. His eyes widened.

"Oh?"

I laughed and slide it across to him. "It's a two minute kiss right?" He nodded. I grabbed the front of his shirt, and pulled him towards me, never breaking eye contact. His lips touch mine and I press against the booth to kiss him better. His lips taste like Jolly Ranchers, the blue ones. My hand snakes into his hair, tangling in it. His hand reached up to my neck pulling me closer. It's a great kiss, one of the best I've ever had. I really want it to keep happening.

But nothing ever lasts. Because next to Percy the bell dings, signaling the end of his shift and the end of the kiss. He pulls away groaning in frustration.

"Thanks for the kiss Seaweed Brain," I say. Percy smiles.

"Anytime Wise Girl."

I pull out my phone. "Call me," I say, tilting it side to side. He grins and nods.
