Luke was pulling a few beers out of his fridge. There were so many things going through his head. What would it be like with another girl? Did he really love Caroline more than May? What will become of them in the future? Will there be conflicts? Will there be a happy ending? What was he getting himself into? One thing was for sure, love made people do crazy things.

"So, where did you go to school?" Caroline asked, pulling Luke out of his thoughts.

"Huh?" Luke said as he handed a beer to Caroline. "Oh, I went to Georgia Southern."

Caroline stopped and just looked at him, her eyes narrow. "You did?"

"Yeah, I went there to get myself a degree in business. I was gonna move to Nashville, but then Chris died, so I went to college instead. Closer to my family. My mom couldn't bear the thought of me not being there. It wasn't until after I graduated that I went to Nashville," Luke explained.

A small smile appeared on Caroline's face. "Really? I went to Georgia Southern too. I was getting my nursing degree."

"I'm surprised we haven't met before now," Luke commented.

Caroline pondered for a brief second. "I honestly don't remember seeing you before now. I guess God wanted us to meet now instead of then."

Luke nodded in agreement. He looked out the window and saw that the sun was starting to set. He smiled and got up, lending has hand out to Caroline. "Do you trust me?"

Caroline laughed. "Is that an Aladdin reference?"

"Yes, I want to show you something. Come on!" Luke said as he grabbed her hand and led her up the stairs, Caroline laughing along the way. Luke brought her into his bedroom. Caroline was confused for a moment. What was this boy planning? But then, he opened the doors to a balcony, revealing a beautiful sunset.

Caroline stepped out onto the balcony, leaning over the railing, she smiled. The scent of the fresh air, so refreshing. The breeze, so cool. The colours of the sky, so mesmerizing. Luke slowly walked up behind her, placing his hands on her shoulder.

"Luke, this is beautiful," Caroline breathed. "The trees contrast so well with the sunset."

"I know something that's way more beautiful than this sunset," Luke said with a smirk.

Caroline eyed him, trying not to laugh. "And what's that?"

"You," Luke whispered as a huge smile spread across his face.

Caroline pulled away from him and slapped his chest. "Stop it, you cheesy goof! I am not more beautiful than this sunset. You're crazy!"

"Nah, I'm just in love," Luke smiled. "I love you so much, Caroline."

"Awe, Luke. Someone needs to stop you from being so adorable, I swear."

Luke shook his head, laughing. He then leaned in close, grabbing her face, and kissed her lips. Caroline deepened the kiss and pulled him closer, wanting more of him. Needing more of him.

Luke's hands were roamin all over her body. He then pulled away, him and Caroline both out of breath. He looked towards his bed and then back at Caroline. After a brief moment, Luke took her hand and slowly led her to his bed. He pushed her downm pulled off his shirt and then crawled over top of Caroline.

Caroline reached up for Luke's head, pulling him closer to her, her lips just grazing his. "Do you want this?" Luke whispered in a seductive and hushed voice.

"I think I'm ready, Luke," Caroline replied back in the same tone. It was in that moment that clothes began flying every which way and with the sparks ignited, the flames burning higher than ever before, Luke and Caroline made love for the first time, getting lost in each other all night.
