Chapter 12

Luke had just got done performing a show in Houston, he walked onto his bus to see Caroline sitting on a couch, feeding Kelly with a bottle. A small smiled appeared on Luke's face as he heard Caroline softly humming a lullaby. Luke closed the door slowly and started walking to the shower when Caroline looked up.

"How was the show?" she asked quietly, just above a whisper.

"It was crazy. The fans were hyped as usual. But I missed you, I wish you could've seen me out there on stage instead of being stuck in here with Kelly."

Caroline sighed slowly. "I know, Luke, but I have already told you that I don't mind it at all. I love Kelly and until her and her little brother or sister are old enough to see the show too, I'm not going yo see it."

Luke looked down. "That's an awfully long wait. I want you to see one now."

"You're cute, but you're not persuasive. Sorry, Luke. I will see one when I'm ready to leave Kelly alone. She's only a few months old. And being pregnant doesn't help at all, either," Caroline told him, getting up off the couch to put the bottle away. "Now, why don't you go clean yourself up so that we can sit on the couch and watch movies?"

Luke groaned before turning around and walking into the washroom. He really wanted to give Caroline a break. Kelly wasn't her child to care for, she was his responsibility. Caroline should be able to relax, enjoy the life she had. Relish in her pregnancy and be happy. She should enjoy her relationship wih Luke, but she was determined to do what she said. Luke admired that. That's one of the reason why he fell in love with her after all.

He stripped down to nothing and walked into the hot shower. He then began to slowly wash himself. Thoughts buzzing around in his head like fruit flies to a banana. How could he give Caroline a break.

"Oh, my God! No!"

Luke's heart dropped as he heard Caroline's cries. He quickly shut off the water and, still half soapy, wrapped a towel around his waist poorly. He held it up as he ran out, seeing Caroline crying as she read something off her phone.

"What's wrong?" Luke asked as he struggled to keep his towel up.

Caroline looked up and laughed. But the smile quickly faded. "They're calling you a cheater."

"What? I literally just announced that I'm dating you," Luke said, confused. He sat down next to Caroline, the towel still not staying on. Caroline grabbed a blanket to help keep him covered up, and then passed him the phone.

Luke Bryan A Cheater?

A couple months ago, Luke Bryan had stated that he had fallen in love with a girl. One month before he said this, his late wife, May Bryan, had died giving birth to his now four-month-old daugher, Kelly. After tonight's show in Houston, Texas, Bryan had announced his relationship status with the girl. He had stated that Caroline Boyer, the girl, was now his girlfriend and that no girls should think twice about hitting on him. Is the widowed country superstar moving too fast, or did he cheat on his wife before she died? Rumour has it that Boyer may be pregnant, which would explain the quick love affair and whether or not that he cheated.

"Well, that's just great," Luke grumbled.

Caroline leaned onto Luke's wet and soapy chest. "Luke, I am pregnant, if they find out, they're gonna call you a cheater and, I'm so sorry. I am single-handedly ruining your career."

Luke kissed her forehead. "Shh, baby. No, you're not. I'm gonna see if Kerri can fix this, okay? Caroline, I promise you that we're gonna fix this. You and I both know I didn't cheat. We met AFTER May died, remember?"
