Luke decided to go out on a morning walk. He grabbed his earbuds and put his music on random. He was so stressed with his tour work and he wanted to just relax and put everything to the back of his mind.

He cranked up his music and began to walk across the road. Caroline looked out the window at the same time, smiling. That's when she saw someone's pick-up truck cruising down the road, it was speeding and Luke hadn't seen it yet.

Caroline ran to the door and began yelling at him. "Luke! Get off the road!"

Luke didn't hear her, and Caroline began yelling hysterically. Everything seem to go into slow motion as the truck collided with Luke, causing him to fly through through the air and landing on with a loud thud on the grown in a bloody mess. The driver slammed his breaks and hopped out, running to Luke's aid. Caroline, on the other hand, was screaming.

Yvonne and Waymond ran out of the house and to their daughter. "Shh, what's wrong?" Yvonne asked her.

"Luke! He's... he's..." Caroline kept trailing off.

Waymond held her tightly in his arms, but she broke free, running to Luke. She fell onto her knees and held up Luke's head. He was groaning, which was a good sign.

"Baby, you're gonna be okay," Caroline cried. "Please hang in there."

She grabbed her shirt and began wiping the blood from his face. Luke once again groaned in pain. Waymond had called 911 and now you could hear sirens off in the distance. Luke slowly began to lose consciousness.

"Luke! Stay with me, honey!" Caroline began to panic, tears running down her face. "You can't leave! Not yet! Luke, I... I love you! Please, stay with me!"

Finally the paramedics arrived, tearing Caroline off of Luke. She screamed and fought. The tears running down her face hysterically. All she wanted was to stay with Luke. He could be dying, and she wanted to hold down his hand as he took his last breath.

"Ma'am, please. If you calm down, we can potentially save your fiancè's life," one of the paramedics stated calmly.

"No! Let me stay with him!" Caroline screamed.

"Caroline, honey, I think it's best if you leave Luke for a bit, so they can work on him" Yvonne said calmly. "I know you love him, but you have to give him space."

Caroline just ran to her parents, crying in their arms. She was losing Luke. She knew it. "He was just walking. He was so happy. Why'd he have to get hurt? What did he do to deserve this?! What did I do?!"

"Shh, sweetie," Waymond whispered soothingly. He's gonna be okay."

Caroline was clinging tightly to what was left of Luke's phone. She had eyes closed shut as she cried for what seemed like hours. This could've been prevented if she had pushed him out of the way. She shouldn't of yelled at him. He couldn't hear her.

Yvonne rubbed Caroline's arms, bringing her out of her thoughts. "You okay, honey?"

"Barely. I mean, did you ever have to go through this?" Caroline asked her.

Yvonne laughed. "You know your brother, clumsy. So is your fiancè. You're gonna be here a lot with your son too. Men are always getting themselves in here. I know you're worried about him, but he'll be okay. He's a strong man. This isn't the first time he's been hit by a car, remember."

Caroline smiled. "I guess so, but I can't help but think it's really bad this time."

Yvonne sighed, rubbing Caroline's arms still. "Just have faith okay?"
