"Caroline, what's going on?" Luke asked on the phone. Caroline was screaming and Luke was afraid that the baby was coming. Caroline was now nine months into the pregnancy. Kelly was also eleven months old, so he was worrying about her too.

"I'm in labour!" Caroline yelled. "You need to get to he hospital ASAP!"

Luke sighed. He was flying to South Carolina, or he was supposed to. Luke ran to a receptionist. He covered his phone before facing her. "I need the next flight to Franklin, Tennessee out of here! My fiancée is in labour!"

The woman shook her head. "The fastest thing for you to do is drive there. It's about a three hour trip."

Luke stomped his foot on the ground and uncovered his phone. "Caroline, love, I'm going to be there soon. I promise. I'm not missing my baby's birth. I love you, try and wait til Daddy is there, okay?"

"Hurry, Luke!" Caroline screamed as another contractions hit. "This baby wants out!"

Luke hung up his phone, thanked the receptionist, grabbed his bags, and rushed through the airport like a madman. He was not only in hurry, but his fiancée was giving birth, and that's something that no man would ever want to miss. Luke wasn't going to miss it. He would get there in time to witness his child's birth, he was sure of it.

Luke ran up and down the streets, trying to find a taxi or maybe a place where he could rent a truck. He finally managed to get a taxi to pull over. It was official. He hated New York City. He threw his bags in the back and rushed into the cab.

"I need to get to Rolling Hills Hospital as fast as we can get there!" Luke shouted at the driver as he buckled himself in and grabbed onto one of the handles.

The cab driver looked through the rear-view mirror. He had a skeptical facial expression on. "That's in Franklin, Tennessee. That's pretty far from here."

"Then speed God damn it! My fiancée is in labour! And I'm sure as hell not missing my son's birth!" Luke shouted at the driver.

"Okay, okay. I'll try and get you there in time, but there aren't any promises," the driver agreed before hitting the gas and charging down the streets at eighty kilometres an hour. Luke held on tight as the cab driver began to speed up to one-hundred and twenty kilometres an hour.

Caroline was sitting on her bed, breathing heavily. Leah was trying to relax her, helping to ease the pain. She had been in panic mode as soon as she went into labour. She was worried that Luke wouldn't be there in time for the birth.

"Caroline, it's not good for you to be panicking," Leah advised.

"I know, it's just... I'm worried Luke's gonna miss the birth of our son," Caroline said, her voice steady.

Leah rubbed Caroline's back, trying to calm her down. "Don't worry, he won't miss it. He'll be here. I can promise you that," she soothed. "Now, let's get your overnight bag, Kelly, and a car seat and get to the hospital."

Caroline slowly nodded. "Okay, help me up," she said, motioning with her arms for Leah to grab her. Leah walked her into Luke's truck and helped buckle her end.

"Okay, I'll be back with Kelly and your bag. Where are Luke's keys?" Leah questioned her.

"They should be on the hook next to the door, if not, in his black leather jacket," Caroline answered.

Leah stared at Caroline blankly before finally responding. "Luke has a leather jacket?"

Caroline shrugged. "He has a few, they look good on him. Why, what's wrong with that?"

"I don't, it just didn't seem like him to have a leather jacket," Leah said.

"There's a lot of things about that man that'd surprise you," Caroline smirked.
