So, that was it. It was over. Ever since she told him, he'd been drinking his whiskey, trying to forget. He'd admit, it was hard. He had a show tonight, in less thank twenty minutes. What would he tell his fans? What about the baby? What about Kelly? What about him and his heart?

Carter took the jack from Luke, causing him to look at him, reachin for the bottle. "Luke, will you tell me why you are getting wasted on this crap?"

"Caroline dumped me, now hand it over," he slurred.

"Do you honestly think getting wasted is a good idea? I get that your heart is broken, but she's not worth your time."

"I love her, Carter," Luke whispered.

Carter just shook his head before locking the whiskey in a cabinet. "Buddy, you have a show soon. Find a song that will express your feelings. She's not coming back."

Luke frowned. "It's all because of this stupid fight we had."

"Just forget her, Luke. Find another damn girl. I don't care, but I don't want to see you practically drink yourself to death over this girl. She clearly didn't feel the same."

Luke finally gave in. Maybe she didn't. Carter was right, Caroline wasn't worth his time. "You're right, I'm sorry."

Caroline was talking with Leah, she was in a hotel room, on FaceTime. She couldn't believe she ended it with Luke, but did she seriously need him? No. Besides, her dad didn't approve anyways. She didn't want to get in an argument over Luke.

Still...

It hurt. Nothing would ever stop the hurt. She decided to end it with him. That was all on her, but she couldn't believe the hurt she felt afterwards.

"And you just ended it?" Leah questioned.

"What more could I do? He started freaking out and my dad is being a total dick."

Leah rolled her eyes. "Okay first, you don't ever break up with your baby's father. Second, this is your life, who cares what your fucking dad thinks? Third, he's Luke fucking Bryan and he lives you for Christ's sake. Look, y'all are perfect for each other. No one can change that."

"Still, he said it himself, this whole damn relationship was a mistake."

"Aren't you hurting?" Leah questioned.

Caroline sighed. "Yeah, I mean, I do love him. I'll never stop loving him."

"Oh, and explain this hurt that you feel, please."

"It's like I've been hit by a train. All my energy, it disappeared. My heart aches, my lungs hurt. You wouldn't believe the look on his face when I told him. He just lost it. Seeing him so broken, it upset me. No, it broke me. I can't get over it. I was hysterical after I left. I was balling before I even called you."

"How did you end it?" Leah questioned, she couldn't imagine the type of hurt she must of went through.

"Deep breaths, Caroline. Deep breaths. You can do this. It's gonna hurt. He's gonna cry, but you can do this. It's not right to play wih his heart. Daddy doesn't want this. There's no point in continuing on something that won't last," she told herself before she brought up enough courage to knock on that bus door. She had to dig deep for the answer, and this is what she found. It was wrong to lead him on, even if she wasn't.

Luke was still shirtless when he opened the door, he had a Miller Lite in his hand and a smile on his face. He was now in swim trunks. Obviously partying with his friends. Too bad she was gonna ruin this feel good time of his.

"Baby, I'm so sorry! Will you ever find it in yourself to forgive me?" Luke asked, as he leaned in to kiss her.

Caroline held her hand up, pushing his lips away. She took in another deep breath and excelled deeply. "Actually, no."
