"Good evening, Mr. Bryan," a young man, probably in his early thirties, greeted Luke as he sat down for his interview. "I'm Allen. I understand that you have some things to say about your love life."
Luke could feel his heart accelerate at just the thought about talking about Caroline. "Yes, and some things about my daughter."
"Alright, so let's get started. Um, so the media is saying that you cheated on May. That's how they are coping with you moving on so fast, could you explain this?"
"Well, Allen, I met Caroline, my girlfriend, the day Kelly was born. In fact, it was while I was getting release papers for Kelly. She was the nurse who gave them to me. When I met her, I just intended on getting my papers. Never did I imagine falling in love with her."
Allen jotted down something before looking up. "In love? So, this isn't just you dipping your feet back in the water?"
"Of course not. Being in love is one of the greatest powers God gives you. Caroline is something special. We still fight of course, we bicker about stupid things, but no matter what, I still love that woman," Luke smiled.
"So, it is according to my notes that you broke up with her?" Allen quizzed Luke.
Luke slowly nodded. "We got in a stupid argument, so she wanted some space. I gave it to her and next thing I know, she's breaking up with me. I was so hurt, as made obvious in the videos of me performing prior to the split."
"One more question, why haven't we heard about Baby Bryan?"
Luke just stared at Allen, a gaped. "Excuse me, what?"
"A fan took a screenshot of you and your girlfriend making up, but what she screenshot was you kissing your girlfriend's belly. Mind explaining that?"
Luke tapped his foot nervously. If he told, Caroline would have a fit with him, but the fans already knew anyways. "Okay, about two months after we met, we both found out our feelings for each other. Well, more like made up. Caroline kissed me about a month before, and I was pissed, thinking about May and all. Anyways, we made up and later that night was the result of her pregnancy. So, yes. Caroline's about three months pregnant now."
"Alright," Allen wrote some more stuff down before looking up at Luke again. "That's all the time we have. Thank you, Mr. Bryan, for your time."
"No, thank you for having me!" Luke smiled wide.

Luke arrived home a short time later, he tossed his jacket and keys on the counter before strolling throughout the house, looking for Caroline and Kelly. He saw them playing in her room. He smiled as he leaned against the door frame and watched them.
Caroline turned and pointed at him. "Kelly, look! It's Dada!"
Luke chuckled as he shook his head and walked into the room. "Have you been trying to get her to say that all evening?"
"I wanted to surprise you, but she's stubborn. I wish she said your name first. I'm not even her real mother."
"Caroline, baby, you are. You're the only mother Kelly has ever known. She sees you as her mother. I don't mind her first word being your name. That just means I still get to hear her say my name. That rush and excitement of waiting is a wonderful feeling," Luke explained while he picked Kelly up and laid her in her crib to sleep for the night.
Luke grabbed Caroline's hand and slowly led her into the hallway, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. "Luke, is something wrong?" Caroline interrogated.
"I told the interviewer you are pregnant. I didn't have a choice. Ethan livestreamed it and a fan had screenshot me kissing your baby bump," Luke said, flinching.
"Thomas Luther! You know damn well that it's too soon!" Caroline scolded him.
"I didn't have a choice!" Luke yelled.
Caroline scoffed. She was beyond mad and didn't feel like she could trust Luke. "This is why we shouldn't be having a baby."
"Don't start with that! I love you, I love that baby! I can't believe you'd say that again!" Luke shouted before sitting down and looking away. He had his back against the counter, tears falling.
Caroline knelt down and sighed. "Baby, I'm sorry."
"Leave me alone," Luke mumbled with a broken voice.
Caroline got up, feeling her heart get ripped to shreds. She turned away from him and walked up the stairs. She grabbed a song and Luke's guitar. Slowly, she wandered back downstairs and started singing a specific line from Luke's song.
"Through the good and the ugly, the blue in the black." Luke slowly looked up. Caroline smiled. "Luke, I'm gonna love you no matter what. To the moon and back. We got through so many fights, why not this one? I don't want you to feel unloved. This baby, it means the world to me. I don't mean what I said, I'm scared about the fans knowing. It's my personal life, and it's my baby's personal life. But not just that, it's yours too."
Luke shook his head and looked away again. "You keep saying that, like it doesn't hurt me. Why? I could say that and you'd be upset too. But I don't, because I don't regret this pregnancy one bit."
Caroline rubbed his back soothingly. "I know, I guess I'm just a terrible girlfriend. I've never had a baby, I've never held a relationship this long or this strong. I feel like I'm just a replacement for May. But, ever with all that, I know I didn't replace May, and I know all this stuff will work out. I'm scared about this new life that I know nothing about."
"But, you shouldn't be. Kelly, she's your daughter," Luke said. "You shouldn't be scared of being a mother."
"She's not my daughter," Caroline pointed out. "She's May's. She's yours, but she's not mine."
Luke just got up. "Yeah, whatever."
Caroline glared at him. "You're still mad?"
Luke shrugged. "Yeah, and I might be for a long time. I had no choice but to admit you were pregnant. You'll see, and then you'll want to apologize."
"But, where will I sleep?"
Luke stopped. He slowly turned to face her and smiled. "Caroline, I may be mad, but I'm not gonna stop you from sleeping in our room. Come on, I still love you. I'm just upset that you got worked up over that."
Caroline began to smirk. "Well, in that case, let's hurry."
"I'd say no, but you already know that I can't," Luke chuckled as they hurried up the stairs to take a long "rest," if that's what you wanted to call it.

A/N: Well, I think this chapter sucks BIG TIME. Anyways, Luke's mad, but he's clearly not taking it too seriously. What did you think of the interview? What about Caroline and Luke's fight? Their "make up"? All right, Happy Easter! And let's hope it's not long til Summer! Yay! But, oh no! I still have to finish Grad Transitions. Whoops. ~Kelsea
