Carter, Blaine, and Leah were all sitting at a booth in a bar. Carter had brought them here to discuss his and Luke's plan. Carter slowly began to sip his beer. Leah was texting Caroline on her phone and Blaine was checking up with Nash's babysitter.
"Okay, Caroline desperately wants to hang out with me, so get to it," Leah told Carter.
Blaine had an upset look on his face, but he knew a girl with a broken heart was more important to his wife than him. Well, in this case and at this time, she was.
"Okay, just get Caroline to a bar. Act like it's time for a night on the town or something. I don't care. In the end, her and Luke will meet back up in the pouring rain. It's suppose to rain tonight, so just bear with me," Carter explained his plan with a rush. "I need to talk to Ethan and Monaco and hope they are in. It's about time the two of them were happy again."
Leah nodded slowly. "Yeah, yeah. I think I can do that, but why is Blaine here?"
"Oh," Carter said, taking sip from his beer. "About that, y'all are gonna edit the video for Luke and Caroline."
"I sell merch, I don't-"
"I know, I know. But, Blaine, I think that it'd be best if you do it. Leah could really get her input in. The video needs to make the both of them realize that they're meant to be. They are both being stupid about this. Luke's drinking, a lot."
Leah spat out her drink. "He's what?!"
"He's been drinking his life away. The last thing we need is him to poison himself," Carter explained more in depth. "Caroline really did break him. He just lost it."
Leah looked away for a moment. If Caroline would of only listened to her, maybe Luke wouldn't be in so much pain. "I should go, I can't listen to this."
Blaine grabbed her arm. "Baby, it's not your fault."
"I could've done more to prevent this. I could've stopped her from ever leaving my house. I just wish she would've told me what she was planning. Instead, she made up her own mind. I wish Caroline would've just listened to me. But she didn't. I could've done something, anything, to stop their hearts from breaking!"
Carter sighed. "I could have done something too, you know. But, Leah, we can still help them get back together. Caroline doesn't want you to blame yourself. Just please help."
"I never said I wouldn't," Leah smiled, sitting back down. "I guess I'm being over dramatic. It's hard keeping your head on straight when you're running on zero sleep."
Carter rolled his eyes. "Okay, let's do this."

Luke huffed. "Are you sure she'll be here. I feel like we're here just so you can hook me up with someone else."
"For the last time, Luke, just stand over there and start singing the lyrics."
"Fine, whatever," he grumbled as he stepped onto the "X" that had been taped onto the pavement. He positioned himself comfortably, shivering in the wet rain, wishing that it had been a sunny day instead. Why Carter had insisted in the dark, pouring rain wad beyond him.
Black Mike went ahead and started recording the video. Ethan livestreamed the shooting of the music video to the fans. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it, as usual.
Luke took in a deep breath and started singing along to the music Carter already had playing loudly. "I'm not supposed to want to love you no more. No more cards and flowers, no more knocks on your door. Just forget the perfect love that we had, but I don't know if I can do that. I was so certain, baby, you were the one, that this was it and all my searchin' was done. I should admit you're gone, get used to the facts, but I don't know if I can do that, I don't know if I can do that..."
Leah shook her head. She knew exactly how to get Caroline to leave the bar and get out into the cold, wet rain. The cold, wet rain that Luke was currently in, waiting for him.
"Hey, Caroline, why don't you just hook up with one of these random guys?" Leah asked her as she sipped on her beer.
Caroline gave Leah a confused look. "I thought you were gonna help me get back with Luke."
"But you should never go back to ex. I've been thinking, and maybe a new guy might be better. At least just have one night with the guy," Leah insisted.
"I'm not having a one night stand with some fuckboy if that's what you're getting at. And I could never do that to Luke anyways. I'd feel like I'm cheating on him. I still love him, you know," Caroline explained.
Leah rolled her eyes. "And let him hurt you again?"
"I hurt him, in case you forgot."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Hey, how about that piece of eye candy?" Leah asked, pointing at a guy, who had more muscle than he needed to show.
"Urg, I'll be outside if you need me," Caroline told her friend, an aggravated tone to her voice. She walked outside into the pouring rain. She stopped dead in her tracks when she heard that familiar angelic voice. She slowly turned to see Luke on the other side of the parking lot. She made her way to him and tapped his shoulder. "Baby?"
Luke spun around, and a smile formed on his face, he immediately brought her into his arms. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't of said any of those things that I did. Caroline, I love you so much, please come back, I can't live without you."
Caroline was crying, a happy cry. Hearing his voice, seeing his face, those three little words that always made her melt, his apology he didn't need to say. It all made her so happy. She missed him so much. She missed his smile, his hug, his kiss, his voice, the way he held her, how he said that he loved her. She missed all of him.
"No, Luke, I'm sorry. I'm the one the broke up with you, and that was such a stupid mistake. I should've never done that to you. I missed you so damn much, and I'm so sorry about what I did to you, I really am."
"Oh, Caroline, I missed you too," Luke whispered in a hushed voice before leaning in and kissing her passionately, the rain soaking their clothes through. Caroline's hands found their way into Luke's hair, her fingers tangling with the strands.
Luke brought her in close, his scruff tickling Caroline's face, causing her to smile into the kiss. Caroline's smile only made Luke smile even more, but neither of them could let go of each other.
Finally, Luke pulled apart, out of breath. He smiled at Caroline before getting down onto his knees and kissing Caroline's slightly pregnant belly. "I missed you too. I love you and your mommy very much."
Caroline felt tears well up in her eyes. "Oh, Luke."
Luke stood back up and pulled her close, kissing her warm lips again. He slowly pulled away, biting her bottom lip on the way. "Let's go home," he said in a husky voice.
Caroline giggled. "Yes, let's go home."
