A/N I know it’s a miracle, another update so soon compared to my past few updates. Wanted to
make up for being away for so long, it’s just a filler chapter but I wanted to do a chapter in other perspectives. Happy Reading!
Chapter 12
Sam’s POV
“Aahhh” I screamed into my towel, drowning out my voice, no need for anyone to hear me scream out my frustrations.
What was my malfunction? Everything I did seemed to blow up in my face. I didn’t mean to piss off Kayli. I knew I was acting like a jealous boyfriend earlier when I had stormed off. I couldn’t help it, there she was openly drooling over every guy at this freaking camp. First the Coach and then our bunkmates, she’s suppose to me acting like a guy not some sex crazed teenage girl.
When I had stormed off to cool down, I realized that I had been acting like a jerk and Brent’s words to take care of Kayli echoed in my mind. I was suppose to be helping her deal with everything and here I was acting like an ass. After sulking for a few more minutes, I wandered back into the building, heading straight for the locker room. As I reached the lockers, I could hear a shower running and a soft voice humming a tune. Immediately I perked up, Kayli was in here. I knew that voice like the back of my hand, walking closer, I stopped a few feet away closing my eyes.
I listened as my angel’s sweet voice transported me to another world. Kayli had the most surreal, beautiful voice but never liked to sing in public. I often heard her and her Mom arguing that she should aspire to be a singer, but Kayli always refused. Always dismissing her talent, saying she was not that good and didn’t want to embarrass herself. The only reason I knew she could sing in the first place was because I would often catch her at home singing to herself. A peace washed over me and for the first time since arriving at this camp I felt happy. She had suddenly stopped singing, my eyes flung open at the absence of her voice.
Looking around, it hit me that I must have looked like I such a creeper and knew I had to get out of here before she got out. I spotted her clothes laying on the bench and an idea popped into my head. Snatching up her clothes, I quietly shuffled towards the back of the room. What’s a little prank between two “friends” to get them back on good terms. I listened as she turned off the water and got out of the shower. Peeking around the corner, I saw her slim figure wrapped in a towel, showing of her curves. Shit, maybe this wasn’t such a good idea I thought as my “friend” came to full a salute. Damn she looked so good, my eyes were burning as I stared intently at her body, watching the small drops of water escape her hair and cascade down her body.
Ripping my eyes away, I tried to focus on anything besides all the dirty thoughts racing through my brain. I needed to get a grip and fast, think Sam! A Calculus problem suddenly came to mind and my heart rate started to slow back down to a normal pace. Nothing like a little math to bring down your hormones. I leaned back against the locker, angry at myself for losing control like that. She will never be yours, I chanted in my head. A loud bang broke the silence and I peered around the corner to see Kayli holding her hand to her chest, her face scrunched up in anger. A chuckle involuntarily escaped my lips, I threw my hand over my mouth to stifle my laugh. She looked too cute when she was furious.
“Who’s there?” she asked, looking everywhere but at the spot I was hiding.
She waited for an answer, after no response, she narrowed her eyes before walking furiously down the row. It was like a game of cat and mouse, every time she got close I jumped into the next row out of sight.
