Dean's POV
Turns out, Cas is awesome for more that just the fact that he's hot. He's into all kinda of cool books. He writes a lot, I mean, he once filled a whole notebook in one day. He is an amazing artist. He showed me a few of his drawings, and I swear, before he told me he drew them I thought they were just black and white photos. It was crazy, and honestly, I was glad Sammy talked me into this. My crush was growing, but after Sam saying he had a boyfriend and after our talk last night, I felt a lot better about liking this guy. Everyone stared when we walked down the hall, talking and laughing, but I figured I was going to have to get used to those stares and worse if I came out as Bi. So I ignored it and continued to grow my friendship with Castiel. Over the time span of two weeks, we really got to know each other. I'd told him almost everything about me, excluding my feelings for him and the fact that I think I'm Bi. Those I kept to myself. But everything else, I told him. The housefire that killed my mom, how my dad's never around, how my uncle Bobby's become more of a dad than my real one. About Sammy and Gabriel. About my secret passion for photography. About the way I still sometimes curled up with my mother's jacket when I missed her. About everything. He knew everything except for the most important thing. And in return, he told me a lot. I knew it wasn't everything, because he still got sad and angry all the time, but he wouldn't tell me why. But he told me about how he'd never met his mother, his father had abandoned him about two years ago, how he'd been bounced between foster homes for the first year until his adoptive parents had adopted him, about how his adopted dad was a drunk and his adopted mom was an abusive bitch who refused to stop cooking gross food that she forced him to eat, about how he had been sleeping in his car in the parking lot because he couldn't go home. I actually forced him to tell me that one, because he had started to look like a walking zombie, and I noticed that he seemed to have lost a pound in the week I'd know him. He had been living off some food he had stashed in his car, showering in the gym, he'd snuck in through his own window to get some clothes. It sickened me. I felt awful for him.. I offered him the spare bedroom in my house, and after a few minutes of 'I don't know..'s and 'But what if?'s I got him to accept my offer. So after school, I met him by my car. "Hey Cas, this is my baby." I said with a smile, patting the hood of the Impala. He smiled. "So this is the mysterious car I've heard so much about." He let out a small laugh and ran his hand over the door handle. I smiled, studying the cute half-smile that played across his lips. Sammy walked up to us, his fingers intertwined with those of another guy. This guy was a bit shorter than Sam, with floppy hair that wasn't quite as long as Sam's. "Hey Dean. I want you to meet my boyfriend, Gabriel." I looked at him with a look that said 'No one is good enough for my little brother.' I held out a hand for him to shake. "Nice to meet you Gabriel, I've heard so much about you." He shook my hand. "And I've heard a lot about you as well." I looked over at Sam. "He coming with us?" Sam nodded. "Okay, get in the car." I said, opening the driver's side door and sliding into my seat. Once everyone was in, I demanded seatbelts buckled, then started her engine. I drove to mine and Sammy's house, then parked. "Alright, everyone out!" I said, hitting the unlock button. Everyone got out of the car, then I shut it off and put my keys in my pocket. Sam and Gabriel went directly to the end of the driveway, then yelled that they were going on a walk. Cas and I went inside the house. "Hungry?" I asked. He nodded nervously. I pulled some bread and stuff out of the cupboard and fridge, then gestured to the food. "Go for it Cas. I'll be back in a few minutes." I went to the restroom, came back, and made my own sandwich. Cas was waiting for me, patiently. "You don't have to wait for me dude, you gotta be starving." He offered a small smile and said "I don't mind waiting for you." I turned around quickly to hide the small amount of pink that rose into my cheeks. I finished slapping together my sandwich and went to the table. I slid a can of coke across the table to Cas and cracked open my own. After a few minutes of silent eating, I decided to try and trike up a conversation. "So Cas, I have a question for you." I knew he was gay, so I'd decided to ask him if he was and see his reaction. He looked up at me. "Ask whatever you like." I chewed another bit of sandwich thoughtfully. "I've heard rumors, and I just wanted to know for sure.. Are you gay?" His eyes widened a little and he coughed once. "Um. Yes. I am." He said, staring at his sandwich. I smirked gently. "So what kinda guys are you into?" I asked. He blushed dark red, his beautiful blue eyes going wide. "Umm.. I.. Don't think I have a type.." I smiled. This was going to be easier than I thought.
