Four years later

Dean's POV

Miracle came to visit. She spent the first few minutes brushing fallen leaves away from the base of her tree. She climbed up the crude ladder we made to inspect the little treehouse we'd made together over two years. When she was satisfied. She climbed down the ladder and walked toward the front door. I'd been watching through the window, and moved to open the door for her. "Hey Miracle! Long time, no see, huh?" She grinned and ran up the stairs, launching herself into my arms. I spun twice before setting her back onto her feet. "I've missed you dad." She said, wrapping her arms around me and pressing her nose against my shoulder. "I've missed you too princess." I whispered, holding her in a tight hug. After a few minutes, she pulled back and smiled. "Where's dad Cas?" She asked. I grinned, chuckling at that strange title she always used for us. "He's out back." She nodded, hugged me one more time, then ran toward the back door.

Cas's POV

Miracle came running through the back door, hair flying behind her. I knew her normal routine, so I braced myself, holding out my arms. She threw herself into them, and I held her tight. "Hey Miracle, it's good to see you." She had her arms around me, face pressed into the side of my neck. I held her close, smiling. I'd missed my princess since she'd gone to college. She pulled back after a minute and smiled. "I missed you dad." I smiled back. "I missed you too princess."

She took over our kitchen, insisting that she was going to cook us something. Dean and I sat in the dining room, listening to the banging and clattering sounds coming from the kitchen.

Miracle's POV

I purposely smacked a lot of pans together, giving them the feeling that either I was having lots of trouble, or I was really messing up their kitchen. In reality, I was just cooking mashed potatoes and steak (which I had bought and brought with me in a small portable freezer.) with green beans. I cooked it all to the best of my ability, which meant pretty damn amazing, seeing as I was in college to be a chef. I finished up and cleaned up the mess I'd made, then loaded up three plates, the steak right in the middle of a mound of potatoes, with the green beans bordering the plate. It might not sound pretty, but it looked really nice. All part of being a chef. I balanced one plate on my arm, then took the other two in my hands. I brought them out to the dining room, set them down in front of my dad's, then mine at my place. I then set down the knives and forks I'd been holding in my hand, pressed against the bottom of my plate. My dads looked impressed, but when they took their first bite, they looked amazed. "This is amazing." Dad Dean mumbled, his mouth still full. I shot him a deathglare, and he quickly shut his mouth, swallowing before repeating his praise. I smiled. "Hope so!" Dad Cas nodded, eyes wide. "This is truly amazing." He said. I grinned. "Well it is what I go to school for, so."

Later that night, we all went and sat under my tree. We sat with our backs against it's bark, just talking. I sat in between them, both their arms around my shoulders. We talked about memories. About school. About what they'd been doing since I left. About the future. And then I told them the real reason I'd painstakingly moved my schedule around for the entire month to make time for an extra visit. I stood up, took a few steps, turned back to them, then sat so I was facing them. "You guys know that I've been dating Jesse for three years now." They nodded. "Well," I took a deep breath and grinned. "He proposed to me." They seemed shocked, then broke into smiles. "We agreed not to get married until we both finish school, but we're engaged." I held out my hand, showing them the ring. It was a silver band with a single sapphire set into the middle. Plain, simple, beautiful. They both smiled wider and climbed to their feet, then pulled me to my feet and held me close in a giant group hug. "I'm so happy for you Miracle." Dad Dean said, squeezing my shoulder. "So am I" dad Cas choked out, eyes sparkling with tears he was holding back. I glanced at dad Dean and saw that his eyes were tear filled too. Slowly, emotion choked me and my eyes began to fill with tears as well. We went inside, and I told them about how Jesse had proposed as happy tears streamed down our cheeks.
