<MADDY'S POV>
After Harry told me the best and sweetest thing anyone has ever told me, we went to check out our groceries. Before I started the engine of the car, I remembered that I needed a bathing suit. Instead of going back to the beach house, we headed to Point Dume Plaza, the nearest shopping center from where we were.
{a/n: I also did research on this and Point Dume Plaza is real! I looked up the nearest malls/shopping centers in Malibu and I found some. I'm pretty sure this was the closest one out of all of them, but if I'm wrong I apologize!}
"How about we look in that store, yeah?" Harry says, pointing at a shop called Beach Bunny Swimwear. I nod, feeling myself perspire, and we go inside. Unfortunately, the store isn't air-conditioned. I'm about to roll up my sleeves and I decided against it because someone might notice. It's so difficult to search a bathing suit that covers up your arms in these kinds of stores.
"Need any help?" a very attractive salesman asks me.
"Yes," I politely say. "Do you have any long-sleeved bathing suits?"
"Why?" he frowns. "Pretty girls like you normally wear hot bikinis like these." He points behind him. Although he called me pretty, I'm starting to feel a little uncomfortable. He had no right to ask me that. I try to look for Harry, but I can't find him any where. He must've left the store.
<HARRY'S POV>
When I walked in the store the store with Maddy, I thought I heard someone whisper my name. I went back outside, but I didn't see anybody. I was about to go back when someone tapped my shoulder. When I turned around, I almost fainted. It was Swift. Taylor Swift.
"Um, hey," I awkwardly say. "What are you doing here? And how'd you know it was me?"
"It's a long story," Taylor laughs. "I could spot you ten miles away, ya know." I'm not sure if that was suppose to be a compliment so I give her a weak smile.
"What're you doing here?"
"Oh, I'm here with my friend." She nods. She appears to be looking at something behind me.
"I gotta go, Harry Bear," she says. Harry Bear? That used to be one of her nicknames for me. Why in the world would she be calling me that? And why is she acting stranger than usual? I'm about to ask her these when she does the unexpected. She wraps her arms around my neck, kisses me on the lips, and she runs off. I'm about to run after her, wanting to know why the hell she just did that, when I hear someone behind me. I turn around and, to my horror, I find Maddy ten feet away from me. Her eyes are puffy red; she's been crying. But why? Then it hits me. Taylor must've seen Maddy behind me and that's why she was acting so strange. She called me Harry Bear and kissed me because she wanted to Maddy to be jealous. Typical Taylor. Before I can explain, Maddy runs away from me.
"Maddy! Wait!" I yell, running after her. Damn it!
<MADDY'S POV>
"Maddy! Wait!" I hear Harry yelling after me, but I run faster. I don't know where I'm going, but I don't care where I end up as long as I'm away from him. The salesman was really making me feel uncomfortable so I made up an excuse to leave. I left the store, expecting to find Harry waiting outside for me. I was right about one thing: Harry was outside, but he was talking to this blonde girl. I felt my stomach drop. She was wearing these huge pair of sunglasses, an oversized hat, and she had her hair up in a bun. I knew I've seen her before, but I couldn't put my finger on it. She was looking at me so I waved. A normal person would've waved back, but she didn't. She told Harry that she had to go, kissed him, and took off. Everything inside me shattered. I couldn't move. Hearing her call him 'Harry Bear' and seeing her kiss Harry made me want to lock myself inside a closet and scream. My eyes felt weird; they felt hot and heavy. Before I knew it, tears were streaming down my face. Harry turned around and saw me and my instinct told me to flee.
