HARRY'S POV

It's a beautiful summer day. The rest of the lads are out doing something, leaving Maddy and I with a day to ourselves. We decide on going on a picnic. I find a basket in the basement to put our food in. She stuffs it with all sorts of bread, ham, vegetables, drinks, and fruits. We get into my car and I start driving to a field I've always gone to whenever I came to California. We set up our spot under a tree, giving us lots of shade. As soon as everything is laid out on the blanket, I grab her by the waist. I gently lay her down on the grass and I start doing the only thing that I know will make her laugh.

"Harry, stop it!" Maddy says between giggles.

"What's the magic move?" I continue tickling her.

"Magic move? Isn't it usually the magic word, please?" I stare into her bright blue green sparkling eyes as I place my lips onto her soft and precious ones.

"I love you so much," I whisper into her ear.

"I lo-"

I feel a pair of hands on my shoulders, shaking me. The image of Maddy laughing, staring into my eyes, is now gone.

"What the-" I say, opening my eyes.

"Harry, mate, get up. It's almost noon," Louis says.

"So what? I want to go back to sleep," I grumble. I pull the blanket over me and turn over when I fall onto the floor.

"You're not in your bed, Haz," Louis chuckles, helping me up.

"Why was I sleeping on the couch?" I ask, getting up.

"You fell asleep here, I guess." He shrugs.

"Then I shall fall back to sleep."

"No, no you're not." He snatches the blanket away from me.

"We are going to the mall to fix you up."

"How is going to the mall going to fix me up?"

"You've been stuck in here for days. It's time for you to get a life." Ouch. That one hurt and he knows it because his eyes soften.

"I'm sorry. I'm just trying to help you get over it." I sigh.

"Fine." I slowly walk upstairs to get a change of clothes and head into the shower. Fifteen minutes later, I'm ready. I head downstairs and Louis smiles at me.

"You look a lot better." I mumble a quick thanks and we head towards the door.

We've been driving for about ten minutes in silence, which I don't mind. Louis wanted to drive and I let him. How could I possibly drive when all I think about is Maddy? I wish she would just let me explain and hear me out. I tried calling her a million times but it goes straight to voicemail. I tried texting and e-mailing her, but I didn't get any reply. She's clearly ignoring me; I completely understand her actions. It breaks my heart every time I picture her face when she saw Taylor kissing me. Her face was an easy read; broken, hurt, drained. I would do anything to fix and change that.

The way she reacted makes me ponder if she really trusts me. Doesn't she know that I will never hurt her in any way? I would never look at another girl while I'm with her; I love her too much. She's the only one I see, she's my world, she's my everything. Haven't I told her this before? I don't remember if I have, but she should know me better even if I haven't.

We finally get to the mall and we just walk around for a bit. Luckily, nobody recognizes us. We go into some stores and we end up buying some jeans and t-shirts. My stomach grumbles and Louis smiles at me and says we can go and get something to eat. He says he'll catch up with me so I head to the food court by myself.
