It was my 7th day here in Italy. It had been three days since Tito Niccolo got discharged from the hospital. Since then, I had been living with them in their house.

I used to hate the idea of living in the same house with my in-laws. I heard many unpleasant stories about it that was why many recommended that moving out after getting married was the best thing to avoid complications.

So far, my in-laws had been so nice to me. They made me feel comfortable in the house. They gave me the liberty to do what I wanted around the house. I felt like this was my second home now.

Since my father-in-law came home, I was the one preparing our meals. I would wake up early to prepare breakfast for us. I would also cook for lunch and dinner. I enjoyed doing it, especially because they were very appreciative. They would always compliment my cooking. I tried learning how to cook Italian dishes for them. So far, I was getting better at it.

Today, I woke up early again to cook for breakfast. But when I checked the refrigerator, we were down to couple of eggs and few bread left. These were not enough for the four of us.

I decided to go to the grocery store and be back as quickly as I could, so I could cook breakfast by the time they were awake.

I grabbed my wallet and phone then wore a jacket before I went out of the house. I just walked to the grocery store. I remembered that Nicko's house was close to the shopping center, so I did not need a cab.

It took me many turns before I found the store. I went in and grabbed all the stuff that I needed. I bought groceries good for three more days since I wasn't sure how long we would be here.

I walked back to the house. I could not wait to cook something new for them today. Tito Niccolo liked my French toast a lot. I would make it extra special today by adding mushrooms and avocados on top of it.

I took many turns and thought that I was getting close to the house, but I was not reaching my destination. It felt like I had been walking too long. I stopped and scanned the area. I could not remember that I passed by here earlier. Since I was not familiar of the place, I just made a random guess of which way to turn. I made a turn on the right and kept walking.

Few minutes later, I stopped on my tracks. This was not leading to the house, that's for sure. I looked around and only saw few people walking. This meant that I was already far from the shopping center.

I approached a man walking towards me. "Good morning, sir. Do you know where..." I stopped when I realized that I did not know the house address. Shoot. The man looked at me with confusion. "Do you know the Ferragni's? Do you know where their house is?" I spoke again.

He said something I could not understand. It was probably in Italian.

"Sorry, I do not understand. Do you speak English?" I asked him, but he just mumbled more words and shook his head then left.

I sighed deeply and looked at the man as he walked away. Now what? How could I go home? Why I did not even think of knowing the address of Nicko's house?

I walked a little bit more, hoping I could find my way home. I was getting lost, that's for sure. I stopped walking because my shoulders were hurting. I had been carrying these heavy grocery bags, and it started to hurt my arms. I put the bags down to exercise my shoulders.

I looked at my phone to check the time. My eyes widened when I saw that it was already nine in the morning. I had been walking that long?! For sure, they were already awake. They usually wakes up around seven in the morning.
