They asked to have people raise their hand kung pabor sila na tanggalin si Ate sa posisyon niya bilang CEO ng kompanya.
I knew Ate wouldn't want me to beg them, but if this was what it took for them to change their mind, I would do it. For Ate.
Napailing ako ng ilang beses. "I think this is very unfair for my sister. She built this company. She was the one who gave you all the positions and income, which you have been enjoying for years. It is unfair to remove her from the position just because she is rumored to be getting an annulment."
"You have to know that our decision is solely about business. It is better for the company if she steps down from being the CEO, so she can save the company from going bankrupt. The investors are pulling out their money because her marriage issues are damaging the company's image. Therefore, this is the only solution we can think of to save the company that your sister built."
"Then what do you suggest, Ms. Rojas?" tanong ng babaeng board member. "Your sister knows for sure that there is no other way. Otherwise, she would be here right now to fight for her position."
Napalunok ako sa narinig dahil may katotohanan ang sinabi niya. Sinabi sa akin ni Ate kanina na kung wala na akong maisip na paraan, it's time to let go. She herself was giving up. But I just couldn't do the same.
"We are waiting for your answer, Ms. Rojas," inip na sabi nila. "I think you just have to accept the fact that this is the reality now. We have decided to take your sister's position from her."
Nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa. If only Kuya Nicko was here to help me. Pupunta kaya siya like he promised earlier? Did he change his mind?
At least I had to know who at sana ay aalagaan niya ng mabuti ang company.
"It will go to the second highest share in this company and that is this man right here, Mr. Douglas—"
"I respectfully oppose to that," biglang may nagsalita mula sa likod ko.
