Ro's POV
I stood there for a long minute, just staring at him, not sure what he was doing here, again. At the same time, Ethan's voice popped into my head, warning me about having guys in my room. Not that it mattered, even though I tended to do anything he said, I also had a tendency to do exactly the opposite.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, confusion evident in my voice. "Again," I added.
He chuckled, letting himself in. "I came to bring you the work you missed and check on you."
"You didn't have to," I smiled lightly.
"I told you I would."
I nodded in agreement, taking the stack of papers from him, offering him a small thank you as I did. As I set the stack down on the coffee table, I sat on the couch, the fuzziness returning.
"Are you okay?" He took a seat, directly in front of me on the coffee table, taking both of my hands in his. "How long has this been going on? I mean, this happened last Friday, too."
"Since this summer," I admitted, easily.
"Maybe you should see a doctor?"
I chuckled. "I have, Ron took me as soon as it started happening."
"What did they say?"
Again, I had no trouble answering him. "That I am perfectly healthy and nothing is wrong with me," I laughed, quietly. "Anyway," I tried to steer away the conversation from the awkward topic of my health. "Thanks, again for bringing my work, umm, you don't have to stay."
"I'd feel more comfortable if I watched you eat something first."
"Oh," I remembered his gesture. "Thank you for the food thing," I pointed stupidly towards the kitchen, his closeness having a weird affect on me. I leaned back a bit, getting some distance between us. "Again, you didn't have to."
"Again, it wasn't a problem," he mocked me with a small laugh.
After insisting that I eat before he left and my insisting that he join me instead of staring at me like a weirdo, we both sat and ate the dinner he had prepared. What I wasn't expecting was to have an actual decent conversation with him. As long as we had known each other, most of our talks turned hostile rather quickly.
He was easy to conversate with, I had learned that already, but this was still different than our early morning chats. It was deeper and more fluid like. There was nothing strained and neither of us were looking to find a topic to talk about, they just sort of popped up on their own.
"So, what are you most afraid of?" He asked, setting his fork on his empty plate.
I swirled the last of my, now, cold pasta around my plate. "Hmm, I don't think I know you well enough to tell you that," I chuckled, setting my fork down. "For all I know, you're just pretending to be nice just so you can find out my weaknesses and kill me," I joked, with a hint of seriousness. The way he treated me sometimes, I wouldn't put it completely past him.
Harry's POV
I chuckled along lightly, little did she know that she was right. My being nice and trying to get to know her was just my recent plan I had come up with the moment I kissed her. I figured, if I got her to like me, in that way, things would go much smoother on my end. I'd get to know her and her strengths and weaknesses, which would allow me to defeat her with ease. After seeing the way she trained, I knew she was going to put up some sort of fight.
