Ethan had prepared himself for his parents arrival for weeks, before he even let them know of Dakota's presence. As the responsible party for the rest of his siblings and the students at Blue River, he knew there was precautions that needed to be taken before they openly welcomed a stranger into the safety of their home, even if was his family. But, as a brother, he couldn't turn his back on his little sister. He just wasn't sure if he was doing this for Dakota, or Dallas. As much as he tried, he didn't feel any type of connection to the long lost sister. It was as if she had never existed before and still didn't, as far as he was concerned, she was Ro's guest. Realizing that that was probably what his parents wanted it both worried and intrigued him.

He assumed Dallas and Dakota must also feel this way, betrayed by their parents, not knowing if he could or should trust them. But, Adrianne was still his queen.

"Where is she?" He heard her voice before he heard her heeled boots against the old hardwood.

"Hey mom," she heard a hint of the rebellious young man he had once been before he had accepted his responsibilities as her eldest son.

"I asked you a question."

"Where's dad?" He looked over his mother's shoulder though it was clear he was not with her.

"He went to the football field to find the boys," she finally showed signs of being just his mother. "So, where is she? Where's Dakota?"

"You mean your daughter that you just dumped?" He let slip out, no longer able to contain his thoughts or his bubbling anger.

He was always trying to see the best parts of his parents decisions. As a parent himself, he agreed with most of their choices, after some thought. What he couldn't wrap his head around, even though he thought he already had, was how they both discarded Dakota so easily and how easily that could have been Dallas. Since her return, his mind raced with how it could have been Dallas that they had gotten rid of instead of Dakota.

He had imagined how much different his own life would have been without his beloved little sister always running a muck. He wondered what she would have turned out like if she didn't grow up with them. He wondered if she would have been just as bitter as Dakota was now. If her personality was the product of nature or nurture. Was she this good and understanding person because she grew up with her family or was she just naturally like that. He wondered the same about his other sister. The stranger.

"Ethan, if you had to choose between never seeing your daughter again or allowing her to be killed because she might grow up to be someone evil, something, no one can contain, based on a centuries old prophecy that no one knows whether its true or not, what would you do?"

Her question wasn't an option he had truly considered.

"You wanted to see me?"

They were both interrupted by a deep, yet feminine voice. Adriane turned, stunned by the two young women standing in front of her. One with shorter hair than the other, plain t-shirt and jeans, no makeup while the other, although structurally, exactly similar, was in dark clothes, leather jacket, longer hair, heavy makeup; the complete opposite to the daughter she knew and loved.

"Is that..." she couldn't finish her questioned, her usual collected demeanor faltering as she was faced with her twin daughters. A sight she never thought she'd see again.

"Your other daughter? Yeah," Dallas answered bitterly, not caring to even look at their mother.

Dakota grew stiff as Adrianne approached both girls,  her heart palpitating at a speed that she didn't recognize. No matter what situation she was placed in, she was always in control of herself and her surroundings. But now, this was not something she ever thought she'd have to face. Facing her sister and the rest of her siblings was one thing. Her disdain for them was out of pure jealousy, but her mother, it was more hurt than anything else.
