Harry's POV

I pretty much followed, Dallas everywhere she went this past week. I told the guys that it was purely for research purposes, but they saw right through my bullshit. I also tried to tell myself that I was just following through with my own plan of seducing her, but I knew that was bullshit, too. Besides after what she told me her ex boyfriend and ex best friend did to her, I was sort of second guessing myself.

What they did to her was horrible, no one deserves to have their feelings played with that way, especially with something so fragile. I don't know what I was thinking when I hatched up that stupid idea.

The moment I stepped out in the fifty degree cold at six o'clock in the morning, I realized exactly why. She was trying to kill me. It annoyed me even more when I saw her giant smirk that reached from ear to ear as she took in my expression once I got to our meeting spot. Great, I was freezing my ass off and she found it hilarious.

"Good morning," she laughed.

I pulled out my hand from my pocket, flipped her off and shoved it back in. "I'm glad I could provide you with comedic relief," I repeated her words to me from a couple of days ago, my teeth clattering.

"You look good in a beanie," she complimented as she led the way to the parking garage.

"And you'd look better without your contacts," I tried my best hand at giving one back. It wasn't my best shot, but that's all she was getting from me until I could feel my toes again.

"Get in," she chuckled me off as she made her way to a dark blue pickup truck.

I paused, taking in the large vehicle. It was lifted, with very large tires, it was definitely too big to be hers. "What happened to your car?" I asked, remembering the much smaller, Range Rover she drove the last time we went out.

"This is also mine," she beamed as she got in.

I followed, having a bit of a difficult time getting up, making her laugh, but glad that the heater was already on. "Why do we need this monstrosity instead of a normal car?"

"Don't speak about, Lola that way," she gasped, handing my a warm cup of what smelled like tea.

I took it, happy to have something to warm up my hands. "Lola? I thought only guys name their cars."

"I name everything," she shrugged, having no difficulty maneuvering the large beast out of the parking garage and off school property. "I have a large cargo to pick up, so," she shrugged, trying to multitask and play some music from her phone.

I took it from her, plugging it in and picking a song. We spent the entire forty five minute drive fighting over it being so early and about what team we wanted to win tomorrow. For once, we were on the same page. Hunter came up once, but she quickly changed the subject. She tried to ask about where, Louis had disappeared to, but it was my turn to evade her questions.

Eventually she stopped the beast in front of a little diner of the small town. "You didn't think I was going to make us go shopping this early without food, did you?" she chuckled, jumping out and slamming the door shut.

As I jumped off, I realized just how high off the ground we actually were, which made me wonder just how, Dallas had made the jump, let alone why she had a truck this large. I knew for a fact that she was afraid of heights, this made no sense.
