I sit under the tree as I wait for what seemed to be hours upon hours. Eric rushes over to me and takes a seat next to me, wrapping his arms around me. "Oh no, Naomi...Naomi...it's okay. You're okay. I'm here." He whispers into my ear as I bury my face into his shoulder.

"S-she ca-called me the worst daughter ever." I choke the words out, my throat catching on fire after every word. "She to-told me that I kne-knew nothing of lo-love. She said that I-I was f-faking my in-insomnia."

"Who did?" His low voice asks softly. He runs his palm in circles on my back.

"M-my moth-ther." I stutter, looking up at him for the first time tonight. I stare at his calming blue eyes that I remember so well from our time together in middle school. I stare at his furrowed eyebrows, hinting at his confusion as to how any mother could do that. I stare at him, like I used to years ago.

"Who would do that to their own daughter?" His eyes suddenly seem to go darker and his voice fills with upset rage.

I sit up, wiping the leftover tears that still sting my eyes. "Eric, calm down. I'm okay...now." His arms are still wrapped around my waist. I lay a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I just..need to get away for a couple hours."

"And by a couple you mean..." Eric shrugs my hand off, taking back his arms as well.

"I was thinking somewhere between five to ten hours..." I confess, wincing.

"So you either go home at two, or you don't."

"Exactly." I smile.

"Naomi, you need to sleep." Eric's eyes finally soften and those bright blues return.

I look down at my lap. "Eric...you know better than anyone..."

"I know you need insomnia. I'm sorry." He sighs. "If it makes you feel any better, I've been having trouble sleeping recently."

"What? Another girl keeping you up?" I joke. I would always crack jokes in middle school about who's the next unlucky girl for him.

"Not in the way I wish." He winks.

"You dirty pervert!" I gasp, shoving him. Though due to my lack of forearm strength, it barely affects him.

He chuckles, "yet you still love me."

"I do not love you." I pout, crossing my arms.

"You know you do."

"No way in hell do I like you."

"Good thing we're on Earth."

I stand up, "nope. I'm done. Get up, we need to start."

Eric stands up and stands next to me. Standing at an astonishing five eleven, I felt like a midget at five two. "Start what?"

"We're checking off my wish list." I smirk. "Now let's head over to Rite Aid and buy some makeup."

I love Naomi POV, but Eric's thoughts are so much better. Vote if you think Eric and Naomi would be cute even though Naomi wants to rid his head off 24/7
