Explosion

Four Years Later

11th November 2009

"GYAAAAAAGH!" He screamed.

"Mello, you idiot!" The Shinigami princess cried watching from the other realm.

Mello crawled out from under the rubble, as quickly as his burnt and scarred body could manage, he ran out of the vicinity, collapsing to the ground after reaching a somewhat secure shelter he'd set up beforehand. There, he fainted due to the excruciating pain he was in as his body burned. His helpless body lay on the ground, just out of sight of the police now recovering from the explosion.

"NO!" The princess screamed. Her brother hurried to her side.

"What is it?!" He took hold of her shoulder as she scrambled around for something.

"He's going to die!" I can't let him die! If I'd known this was the way he'd die, I'd have been prepared. I can prevent this!"

"Robin, stop." A calm voice towered over the siblings. In his ghostly hand, he held a notebook. "You are much more important than me, he's the one you love, and this will make you happy... You are the princess of the shinigami realm. Your death cannot occur so soon." Robin came to terms with what her friend said.

"Kensou, don't you dare!"

"I'm sorry, Robin, but I don't want your life to end like this."

"My life ended long ago! The moment I touched that stone! Don't do this Kensou!"

"I already have." He shut the notebook as his figure seemed to be flaking away. "This was my purpose from the beginning. To save your life. That's why I was different from other Shinigami. So that I could do this, and not you, the only other person who could."

"Kensou, no!" She wanted to cry but no tears would come.

"Farewell, Robin... I lo..." With that, he disappeared. All that was left was a pile of sand and a notebook. The two witnessing Shinigami stared at it in shock. They heard movement from the portal which they watched the happenings of the human world.

"Guess! Over here!" A young man in a cream body warmer and striped red and black top beckoned to a young girl, in a blue hoodie and black skinny jeans.

"What happened to him?!" the two knelt beside their long lost friend. "He's still alive... We need to get him home, I think I may be able to treat him from the little training I got in Wammy's House." The girl concluded. The red burn haired boy nodded and proceeded to carefully lift the limp body from the ground. It groaned.

"It's okay, bro, I've got you. Been working out like you told me to, see? I do listen sometimes."

"Haa! Hardly, Matt! You don't lift your ass unless it's to get food or move to another place to laze around."

"Aw c'mon, Guess! Give me some credit." They interacted casually as they tried to comfort the semi-conscious man in the 19-year old's arms. "And I do get exercise!" The 18-year old girl turned to her partner as he raised his eyebrows.

"Ugh, Matt, you're unbelievable!" They quickly reached their car and sped off to take care of their friend.

"Matt... Guess... You've changed... I wonder if you still remember me..."

"I'm sure they do, Robs."

I'm such a lazy bastard... Yeah sorry about that. I've had a v v good idea, so look forward to that. The votes last chapter was for the side quests so, I'll be doing that except for one thing... Just chop off the s on the end of quests.... Sorry about that, but trust me when I say we have a lot of noice stuff to come! Well, noice is a debatable word but here we are!
