Guess's POV
After we got into the car, with a burnt Mello, we started to cut down on the jokes and comments as Mello's pulse was gradually becoming weaker. I sat in the back with Mello across my lap, and Matt drove quickly in the front seat. We got home and managed to avoid encounters with anyone on the way up to our beloved apartment. We put Mello on my bed as we decided I'd move into Matt's room whilst Mello stayed with us. We'd learned that Mello was part of the Mafia, so taking him to the hospital wasn't worth the risk. For a few days, he said nothing, barely reacting to anything we said either, refusing to eat and simply staring into space.
15th November 2009
Matt and I were sat on the couch, he was playing Assassin's Creed, and I was spectating. That was the day Mello emerged from the room. The game quickly got paused as Mello examined the room. He wore some black baggy sweatpants Matt had leant him and his chest we left bare because of the huge scar on his chest. It ran up his neck, and onto his cheek. Despite the whole ordeal being horrific, with the explosion and the excruciating pain he must have felt, it suited him; at least, what I knew of Mello. It depended on the amount of the old Mello survived.
"How are you doing?" Matt asked.
"Fine..." He replied, his voice hoarse. "Thanks." Mello slowly approached Matt who was still sat on the sofa. He looked him in the eye and slapped him.
"What the hell?!" Matt cried, holding his cheek.
"I told you not to look for me. Do you have any idea how much danger you're in if anyone saw you save me?" Mello was defiantly the same.
"I get slapped when you leave and get slapped when you get back. What's up with that?" Matt said angrily but playfully. I chuckled.
"You want something to eat?" I asked him. He nodded walking and sitting at the dining table in the corner of the room. Matt got up and pulled a chocolate bar out of the fridge and threw it to him. Mello caught it and ripped it open. Meanwhile, I put a ready meal into the microwave. I saw Mello day dream as he snapped off a piece of chocolate like days at Wammy's.
Matt whispered to me, "We did good."
"Yeah," I whispered back, "we did good."
"Would you want to celebrate later?"
"How-" I looked at him and he raised his eyebrows. "Jeez, Matt! You horny bitch!"
"Not my fault! You're good," he purred, making sure Mello wouldn't hear. I laughed and punched his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around my waist and trailed his hand down, and squeezed my butt, I jumped and squealed a little and he laughed at my reaction.
Mello's POV
They seem happy together... I don't want to have to make Matt decide something like that... No... I have to. I need to beat Near and catch Kira. For Robin. It's Kira's fault she left, making my future mix with his. He'll pay.

I've done it. I finished the book. I have it all on paper. I'll be uploading as soon as I can. In Brazil, at the moment so I don't have time to write much here. So long.
