This is the hardest letter I will ever have to write. Mello called me last night and asked me for help in the Kira Investigation abroad; to help him beat Near as always. At first I was fine with it, that was until he said we would probably end up dead. If anything was to happen to you... I don't know what I'd do. I can't put you in that kind of danger. This is the moment where right and wrong get all mixed up, because going without you would never be right, but neither would bringing you with me. And if someone did see us rescue Mello, they won't search for you if I leave. I hate all this. I'll miss you and I love you with every fragment of my body, but this is not about me. I know Mello told us not to follow him and we did all the same for four years but, please, don't come after me. I'm not leaving you behind, more leaving you alive. Guess, I'm sorry, but just remember, you would do the same for me.
